Good Citizen Bad Citizen
Poor tonight. Annan were a well drilled and solid unit at the back, a very tough team to break down and they hit us quickly on the counter. Not really much else to say about the game, players looked a bit tired and after a wee run of form we seem to have come crashing back down to Earth. We must be at the races next week away at Stenny. Was good to get a programme tonight and the merchandise hut seemed to be doing a good trade being back open which all adds to the matchday experience. Crowd was 219. Looked a considerable amount less but it's always hard to tell at that place. Update in the programme from our Chairman Jim Brown stated that a grandstand opposite the small stand is now going to be put forward for planning permission which should hopefully be granted quickly which is very positive news for our move back home. The doom merchants can calm down a bit now........ Edited December 3, 2021 by Good Citizen Bad Citizen Typo

The view is meh from the top row, but there are certainly worse vantage points at grounds!
GordonD
As I recall the view from the old stand at Meadowbank was crap a lot of the time. I mean, you could see well enough what was going on, but what you were looking at could sometimes make your eyes bleed.
Hoofhearted
The stand opposite will still only have 3 rows and seating for 150. hardly worth the effort!

It will still probably be finished before the new one at Ainslie Park.

Remember a Meadowbank v East Fife challenge cup game when spectators had to watch from the terrace due to an other event in the stand. Definitely the worst view ever, with next to zero elevation across a running track., felt like the game was being played 3 streets away. This design looks like it will replicate that. Feel sorry for the fans

It happened various times due to an event using the indoor athletics track under the grandstand which doubled as the turnstile access and serveries e.g. v Albion Rovers on 10th September 1977: We apologise to all our fans for the lack of Stand accommodation today. This is entirely outwith our control. There is a Horticultural Display in the main concourse which prevents access to the Stand in the usual manner and there was just no way the fans could enter or leave the stand without interfering with the exhibition. Our ardent hope is that the weather will be kind to us this afternoon.
tamthebam
At least the new subbutteo stand doesn't have a concourse so we won't be disturbing any pussies or posies.
tamthebam
I fear we'll lose tomorrow. Spoiler It would be nice if Robbo turned out to be one of these though: Cue red dots from the aggrieved keyboard Warriors with no sense of humour whatsoever.

A battling draw from the lads today. I've just watched the interview with Naysmith and he was bemoaning yet more injuries. But rightly pointed out that if they can stay in touch with the play offs until the end of January, then a few players might be back. And also good to see a smile from the manager at the end. You don't see that often...
tamthebam
I'm not bothered about the good play-offs, I keep an eye on the bad play-offs! Still a point away from home is good all things considered and a nice finish from Robbo for the equaliser. Funny old League this as Stranraer were dug meat two months ago and now they're right up the table.
