"Our loan signings will also be returning to their parent clubs when their agreements expire; Raffaele De Vita, Jamie Dishington, Darren Smith, Jordan Tapping, Sam Denham and Josh Campbell."

Some won't be returning to clubs, off top of my head,

DeVita - Released
Dishington - Signed for Stenny
Tapping - Signed for Stenny

I dare say it will be the same all over with all clubs,

Tapping - Stenny

Could be a dictionary definition at the moment

Hopefully the manager, with his links and experience, will replace them with better quality.

He fukin better well have "better" players lined up to bring in, or his balls will be on the chopping block in a years time if we don't go up!

As kicking oot Lairdy and Black is a shocking decision! IMHO, of course!

Of the regulars who haven’t been offered a deal I’d say the following:

Antell - been mainly good, would have kept
Black - if fit a brilliant player would have kept
Laird - in my top 3 city players ever obviously would have kept (Christ this is upsetting)
Thommo/Conrad - both been good players but not sure they’re fit enough for what Naysmith wants, Balatoni in particular must be on decent money so can see why they are away
Harris - never close to fulfilling his potential not surprising he’s away

This is a pretty good assessment to be honest. I agree entirely.

I'm sure the coaching staff will have an idea of who they want to bring in and it's a game of wait and see now. Hopefully they can put together a good side that can achieve top 4 minimum and possibly, push for the title.

Just seen the group stage of the League Cup draw as well.

City, Hamilton Accies, Ayr Utd, Falkirk and Albion Rovers.

Meh.

We played Ayr a few years ago, although Somerset isn't a bad day out, Hamilton in the Scottish Cup before Covid, a trip to Cliftonhill is fun but familiar and the only joy might be to cause the Bairns some seethe.

I know Hibs are in Europe but we could have at least played Hearts at Tynecastle.

Goodfellow signs on again. Must be our first choice for next season. I haven't seen much of him but he was a part of question on Radio 4's Round Britain quiz recently.

How's that for eclectic?!

What happened to Alex Harris? Only 26 and always thought he had massive potential as a youngster. Has it just not happened for him or is there other issues with attitude, fitness, injuries etc?

He is a good ball player.

That's quite good for playing down the Pitz at Portobello on a Saturday morning.

In the Scottish Professional Football League however you also have to be able to tackle. "Heart of a pea" is how he was described by a fellow fan.

Problem for Harris is that he might just be too fragile for even the LL and East of Scotland League. File under "released by Tynecastle FC" in a few years.

I wonder if Clyde will make a move for Thompson. Complete their trio of misfits

Now he's off I can say a certain other League 2 club made a move for him, actually offering more money, before he signed for City.

I couldn't possibly say who though

Spoiler

An anagram of their name is The New Codab though... :whistle
