AllyMonc 354 Report post Posted July 1, 2019 Is Lewis Allan any good?I liked him more than most and the first season (arrived in the Jan I think) he was on loan with us he looked like he had enough about him to go up a level, I was delighted when he signed on with us again. The second season was basically a disaster though and his confidence looked completely shot. Others will be meaner about him but such is life.
Mocochinchi 80 Report post Posted July 6, 2019 I’m guessing the game v East Kilbride is still on today? No details announced on either club’s social media but match listed in the fixtures on City’s website page.

scrooge1928 234 Report post Posted July 6, 2019 5-2 win for City. Kilby were ahead twice, and City only pulled it back to 2-2 in time added on in the first half. Got another three after half-time, but until Darren O'Day was red-carded in 20 minutes East Kilbride looked at least as good as City. City scorers Alex Harris (13, 71), Jonny Court (50, 55) and Scott Shepherd (45). Don't have the EK scorers sorry.

AllyMonc 354 Report post Posted July 7, 2019 Enjoyed my first look at the new signings yesterday. Harris clearly belongs at a higher level and you can say the same about Crane. Also looks like Court will give the us the physical option we sorely lacked last year, he chased and won a few balls in the channel that Henderson just wouldn’t have been able to. Also for a non-goalscoring forward he’s scored a lot of goals in pre-season (I accept its different when the properly competitive stuff starts).Anyway, clearly the highlight of the day was Darren O’Dea’s red card. Still laughing about it this morning.

Good luck to him
Muzza81 1,361 Report post Posted July 7, 2019 What did O’Dea do?
AllyMonc 354 Report post Posted July 7, 2019 What did O’Dea do?Thompson won the ball off him as he was carrying it forward, perfectly fair tackle, as soon as O’Dea hit the deck you could tell his head had gone, charged after Thompson and tried to cut him in half. About as clear a red card as I’ve ever seen. Delightfully this was in the 20th minute, the same point in the game he got sent off in his last ever (but obviously not actually last ever) appearance, vs St Mirren at the end of last season. If they’ve brought him in to provide an experienced and calm head then it’s not the best start. But it is, very very funny.

Getting sent off in a City Cup final getting played 2 years late can't get more heads gone than that.

AllyMonc 354 Report post Posted July 14, 2019 We have signed graham Taylor, thoughts ? i didn’t know EC had released him.Quick, good dribbler, surprisingly strong with a low centre of gravity but always seemed to be taken off after 60/70 mins, picked up lots of silly bookings and to be honest doesn’t have much of a football brain. Overall I think he’ll do well for you, I think a big part of his drop off in form last season was teams starting to sit deeper against us.
Tenkay 513 Report post Posted July 21, 2019 Decent result for City yesterday! Matched a championship team all the way and looked a good side. Only concern for me, is Blair Henderson being out as we look a bit light up front without him. can't see any of the other "strikers" scoring much. Apart from that, City should do well this season.
tikataka 10 Report post Posted July 21, 2019 Really impressed by Ed City yesterday and a great crowd there. They looked well organised and although they didn’t create much they didn’t give much away either. Troubling performance for Crawford and the Pars
