We've also signed Graham Taylor who played a lot of games for you before moving to Cowden in 2019.

I liked GT.  Good player.

I thought he was quite skilful.

His problem is being very light weight, makes him ineffective.

Cowdenbeath fans will be able to tell you more about him.

'Heart of a mouse' would be the traditional phrase i would use.

I was at Easter Road when he was breaking through at Hibs and looked like he would be a considerable talent, before being absolutely clattered and put on the shelf by a Motherwell player. I think it was Shaun Hutchinson who done the damage. He never ever recovered mentally from that, IMO.

Just seen that Blair Henderson has left you lads & signed for Spartans!?

thought he was a great player for you guys and assumed if he was gonna go anywhere it would be to a better team higher up the leagues.

Yes you'd have thought so.

For me,  Blair Henderson to Spartans is an amazing transfer!

Like you say, you'd have expected him to move upwards to a League one team.

Reading between the lines, with his comments on leaving the club, he just wants to play every week.

Gary Naismith has come in, and emptied out all our good players, and seems he won't guarantee Blair Henderson as much game time as Blair would like.

So Hendo has dropped down to a team he can play every week.

Fair play to him, I'm certain he'll fire in 20+ goals for Spartans next season.

Yeah totally.

I’d have had him at Forfar in a heartbeat.

spartans have done well getting a striker of that calibre

The squad is a bit thin on numbers:

Ryan Goodfellow

Brian Schwake

Robbie McIntyre

Callum Crane

Lee Hamilton

Stephen Bronsky

Callum Tapping

James Hilton

Lewis Kidd

Danny Handling

Danny Jardine

Ouzy See

Ryan Shanley

I thinks that's were we are at just now?

A bit thin? Not even enough for a match day squad there.

Yeah - I was being a bit lenient with the 'bit thin' chat. There's a hell of a lot of gaps to fill and a fair few unknown commodities in that 'squad' so far.

Really hope the management team and people running the club know what they are doing...

Apart from big sexy Robbie, I don't feel much connection with that lot that's left there! It's going to feel strange next season, seeing almost 11 strangers wearing our Edinburgh City shirts.

Between that, and the Friday night nonsense things are going to feel different from now on.

Good luck to all the new guys coming in though.

Hopefully we'll end up with a decent team.

Really interested to see how he gets on playing regular senior football.

Hype around him seems crazy high from all the snippets you get from manager/coaches,  but you never really know until they've played a senior season. Seems to be a number 10 type player from what little we've seen of him. Sure he played briefly v Brechin, then briefly against Celtic, last season, and both times it was in the middle of the park.

Looked a bit "light" though, so might struggle early on physically.

Alex Ferguson & Co used to make a well known Capital confection so if he puts in a solid display the Evening News headline should be "Ferguson's Edinburgh Rock"

(Passed the Ferguson factory in East Crosscauseway one hot day in the mid 80s. The door was open and the smell of boiling sugar wafted through the air. It was great)
