The guy who had reported said he knocked back a full time offer at Airdrie.ETA we have reportedly offered him a part time deal too. Same guy who posted.
This will be the same guy who said he was set to go to Starks park also. Trolling for sure.

Sorry for gatecrashing, but do you think Blair Henderson could be a viable signing for Raith this summer? We are running a hybrid system so he wouldn't need to go FT and I would imagine we could chuck him a really good PT wage on top of his day job.

Is your hybrid system not just flinging pieces from the Ravenscraig Flats?

oh the unbelievable excitement of pre-season friendlies..

Gala Fairydean Rovers (a) 27th June. 7.30pm

Saint Johnstone (a) 29th June 3pm.

6th July- f*cking hell, it's the City Cup Final! v EK at the Oriam, 3pm. Should just make it a double header with the League Cup Section match if you ask me.

I once went to a pre season friendly against Bankfoot that was held in Noranside Open Prison. We had a captive audience.

Pre-season Friendlies are just really public training sessions, so never really interesting affairs.

I always wonder why we don't have a game with the Spartans pre-season as it would be an easy one to organise.

When these games were done we'd not have expected to get East Kilbride in the betfred cup.

So farewell Gareth Rodger,

I don't know if you had a big todger

But you didn't let down the squad,

On the occasions you were called into action. Which were odd,

and not numerous, alas.

So farewell Danny,

You proved to be not a fanny,

Occasional flashes of skill did give a thrill,

But  I fear,

You were freed as you were more interested in your media career.

So farewell Brad,

You weren't too bad,

But not good enough and we're quite fussy,

So it's back you go to Mussy.

I'm not sure what I've just read - or if I'm in fact dreaming - but I am living for this content and hope some more City players are released post-haste so I can consume more of it.

You're too late - the new Poet Laureate has already been appointed.

for those interested in the history of Meadowbank Stadium (all 2 of you) there are some nice photos of Old Meadowbank on this speedway website:

http://www.speedwayplus.com/OldMeadowbank.shtml

This was the ground of Leith Athletic until their demise in 1954 and was also used for Edinburgh Monarchs speedway and stock car racing. The stand came from St Bernard's Gymnasium ground.

Old Meadowbank was flattened when the site was redeveloped for the 1970 Commonwealth Games and was where the velodrome and plastic pitches were to the east of the Commonwealth Stadium.
