Our most important couple of weeks of the summer and the only person that can sign off on transfers is away on holiday really is beyond belief

He is only a phone call  away and his phone will be switched on.  Have faith signing(s) before next Thursday night.

Its surprisingly unsurprising, tbh.

"Keep faith", "signings will come", "hopeful itll be this week".

All absolute pish statements folk have firing out every week for over a month now. No matter what happens tonight, and next week, this situation cant be repeated again, and lessons need to be learned by all involved at the club in this.

I'm hearing COG is to be unveiled as your new striker at half-time tomorrow.

I don’t think anyone is required to eat humble pie to be honest. The transfer strategy in this window has been farcical regardless of who we sign over the next week or so. Celtic was always a write off but there’s no reason we couldn’t have won last week if we’d had our actual squad in place. Writing off games/points at the start of the season like we’ve done this year could end up costing us league places and it’s manifested negativity between the support, the playing staff/management and the board. Its a lose-lose situation all round.

Really disappointed that in the 2 weeks since our last game, we have not signed the striker we so desperately need. This has been a position that was identified as being a must before the end of last season, yet we are into the third league game of the season without this position filled with any decent quality.

This summer has been the most underwhelming transfer window for a long time but I don’t understand why we are having to wait till the last hours of the window to make a signing that every man and they’re dog could see that we were crying out for. Even pre-season should have made the alarm bells ring. We are over a month since the Stevie May saga but are still in the same position.

The club should have moved on to other targets rather than hanging about until the end of the window and see who we can pick up.

Poor from the club.

Its just short of 3 full months since TW "outlined his transfer plans" as being a "goalkeeper, left back and a striker". A week after that he said he was happy with the CB situation and would only be signing one if one left, and that he was hopeful of having a left back in before the tour of NI ended, with a striker being the priority.

Since then, we've signed a centre back on loan, and a third choice keeper who'll never play.
