Assuming we sign this super star this weekend, I'd make the United game on the 24th the first he'll be available for. Unless he's been here for a few days already.

But from where.

Played for an Israeli team but if he has spent quarantine in a country that Scottish government considers safe then he would not need to quarantine again.

Cannot see Saints bringing him to the ground if within a quarantine timescale.

Hes definitely not a "target man" in the sense I imagine most folk have been talking about wanting, FWIW.

Hopefully a good signing but I thought we were looking for someone who could compete with the CBs with cross balls. This guy is 5ft 8in.

Maybe ive got the wrong end of the stick though on requirements

I don't think many, if any on here were looking for a target man in the traditional sense...We have had enough bad experiences in signing Big Haddies over the years

When was the last truly successful target man we had at Saints? Roddy?

Deuchar?

I'd class Macca as a target man in the sense that if you got the ball to him it would stick. A target man doesn't just win headers.

O Boyle and Wright were target men too then.

May I respectfully suggest the title-winner pictured to our left?

Wright certainly, O'Boyle was more a penalty box sniffer.

O'Boyle is the best player I have ever seen at Saints with his back to goal. Was unbelievably strong and his first touch was excellent.

Possibly one of my favourite ever Saints players.
