Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

I dont think attendances are of huge concern to the average Saints fan, the main benefit of that cup win was simply to get it right fucking up some people.

If anything having a shite support makes it even sweeter.

In a perfect world we'd win the domestic treble in front of an average fanbase of 5.

Partick Thistle had similar for their sixth place finish IIRC.

St Mirren fans are currently reminiscing on their thread about that "glorious, memorable, day in the sunshine" when they avoiding relegation on the final day.

History didn't start with the SPFL. Thistle have won a cup. And they did it by thrashing a team that, at the time, were one of Europe's very best.

This has probably been discussed and I’m late to the party, apologies if so. However...

There’s talk of Saints being a candidate to be bought by Chelsea. Apparently big Roman wants to buy a Scottish club to get around some UEFA rule (don’t have a link handy) and Saints are being suggested (by saints fans) as a prime candidate with our link to Jody Morris and the fact that Abramovich apparently owns property in #perthshire. This along with the recent interviews with the Browns, are the stars aligning for a sensational buyout of the club? Will Saints become the Chelsea of the Scottish Premiership and bring home the league title to Perth? If so, you can shove fan ownership up your arse because this is a train I’m prepared to get on.

*cough*

Jody to take charge due to his knowledge of their youth set up.

Reeks of McInnes when he was appointed. Isnt a guaranteed failure. Isnt Cleland or Davidson.

Apart from finishing 3rd in the league and actually qualifying for European football rather than finishing about 9th and applying to play in the diddy cup m8, aye?

Is (was) the intertoto not a European  competition?

You got as far as the qualifiers, m8.

Stop dying on this hill Dele my man, UEFA can market their competitions how they please, qualifying for Europe is qualifying for Europe, no matter if it’s branded Europa League qualifiers or not.

The Intertoto cup was an embarrassment of a competition and was rightly binned.

To believe @Dele, or believe UEFA?
