Taking Watt without finding a new club for Kane would, as someone else has said, all but guarantee Hendry left which, although he's still raw, is a bit too much of a risk. It's all very well saying we need a goal scorer but they aren't easy to find. Shame for Watt, he'd been bigging up his Bulgarian lifestyle recently in response to the endless twitter abuse he gets. Frank - if you have the time watch the game from Saturday again on Saints TV and then come back and honestly say that Kane isn't a total waste of a jersey. He does have his uses but he just doesn't have the attributes at this level. Nothing against the guy but we simply need much better. Nisbet is an obvious one, but again it would be a fair risk as (see Kane) guys that do well in the Championship don't always work out at Prem level. With our OF ticket bonanza and Matty bonus*, and the very real threat of relegation hanging over the club, you'd hope that we would pony up the cash for a scorer.
