Christophe Berra pretty much ticks all of Tommy Wright's past signing profile boxes. Hugely experienced both at this level and in general, good past pedigree.

I wouldn't be surprised if we sign him.

File him under "deadline day panic signing if we cant get anything better, as at least hes not Wallace Duffy" pls.

If we do bring in a decent CB at least it'll give Tommy another option, 3 at the back.

I thought this too as a major reason for a CB signing as well as the needed cover.

Playing Tanser and the much-maligned Ralston as wing-backs (which I think both would be better at than full-back), with our ballers in front and more able to cut inside, would offer us a good option and we could keep the central mid that's worked well but could push Ali McCann a wee bit further up and let Muzz go on those charging runs up the middle.

Couple of strikers, team sorted.

Heard from a Dee fan that McPake will decide this week if to go for Callaghan.

If happens that is one out so gives a bit of wiggle room.

Suppose that maybe ties in with Dorrans to MK Dons talk.

See Hearts Loans that were at Dunfermline have been recalled.......could they come in for Swanson??

St Johnstone: Look, we're no longer a part time club. Hired a full time manager to run everything.

Fans: That's great, suppose we'll be well prepared and ready to act in this vital transfer window, and wont sit on our arse doing nothing before its top late like in the Summer?

St Johnstone: Sorry we cant answer your call at the moment, please leave a message after the tone and we'll get back to you.

Did the much maligned Graham Cummins not leave us to sign for Cork City too?

Happy to trust the manager.

The boy they signed from Cork was "targeted" by another Scottish top flight side aswell as St Mirren...
