If two of the tests were negative and they are still isolating it suggests that all four were is close contact such as travelling in the same vehicle

Could be training bubbles. The Buddies lost all 3 keepers earlier in the season when Alnwick tested positive

Allegedly the positives are the two potential starters in that list of names someone else gave me.

Hopefully they're fit and well and have avoided passing it to any family etc.

We take 2 buses to most games, sometimes 3 as it was at the league cup final.

There were certainly 2 players buses at Easter Road so it could be as simple as sitting within 2 m of one of the 2 infected players on Saturday.

This may be a stupid question as I'm not in the UK.  Haven't the players all been vaccinated yet?

This may be a stupid answer as I'm not a scientist, but my understanding is the vaccines are better at stopping people from getting ill rather than stopping people from testing positive for covid, if they've even had them.

Did anyone else pick up on the fact that in the latest round of tests, all results came back as negative? Implies that the positive tests were in fact false positives, but the players have to self isolate regardless.

Shambles if that's the case.

With 10 days isolation, these players won't play another league game this season.

Read somewhere else that one will be OK for midweek

No idea how it works or how accurate it is though

It’ll depend on when this happened. Not necessarily today, obviously.

They could have just gone out for lunch together or something.

Papers are claiming the 2 close contacts were identified due to seating plans on the bus to the Hibs game, with Saints adamant they were a "safe" distance away.

It is a Keith Jackson article though, so I'm entirely unconvinced it's not just him trying to stir up a controversy tbh.

May, Craig, Parish & Davidson.

Not to sound like one of these Twitter fan pages who claim they're ITK at every available opportunity, but these are 100% the four players who will be missing for Sunday.

Squad tested again today.
