Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

writing is on the wall when you wait this long. Unbelievable really.

I always thought we’d get two years out of him and he’d leave us for a bigger club and for more money. He’s been a bit of a mercenary his whole career really. The fact we didn’t make a serious attempt to keep him until the end of December is a far bigger issue.

Always liked Dundee fc and James McPake.

Great bunch of lads. Wonder what other shite we can shovel in their direction?

Yeah. Truth too.

I’ve heard Alan Forrest is the one we’ve had waiting in the wings when we manage to ship out one of the diddies. Just to further shit on your cereal.

Enjoy the shitty 6-month loan you get off of this.

Callachan has played 66 minutes this season, and we've conceded 4 goals in those minutes. A shite loanee will likely contribute more.

Callachan is nowhere near a starting position for st. Johnstone.He lacks the quality required and is surplus to our requirements.TW is just cutting out some dead wood so he will not be replaced with like for like..Should be an absolute standout down at your level though.Well done good signing

Conceded 7 without him in those two games too, actually averaging slightly better with him in for those games than without him if you wanna look at it statistically. A shite loanee will contribute as much as the rest of the dross you can bring in. Or we ignore those games as being two occasions you bent the knee to the OF, which is becoming quite the tradition in Perth.

For Dundee fans;

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that Callachan was nowhere near as bad as is being made out. He brings a lot of energy to centre midfield and likes to drive forward. I think in the right set up he'd nick a few goals as well. The issue with him is his consistency. He can produce an absolutely class first touch and bit of skill one moment, then the next time the ball comes to him it bounces 10 yards off him.  He also plays the game a bit like an excited puppy at times, chasing after the ball everywhere to get involved and lacks a bit of positional discipline.  Might be fine with the right teammate sitting covering him.

Hes had a couple of excellent performances for us, Hibs away 15 months ago springs to mind, and some poorer ones.  He fell out of favour this season when McCann emerged as the new Pirlo and we signed Holt.  Otherwise I think he would have been involved far more.

Would expect him to be a very good signing for the championship.
