The Marly
Nobody expects us to be challenging for the title FFS, we're always going to have peaks and troughs and we will be relegated in the next few decades, at best. The frustration is at how the club seem to be actively dragging us downwards with incompetence.Sorry, but you're just determined to slate the club for anything and everything tonight whereas on Saturday you were telling us that went to Celtic Park that it was "Just one of those days" even though you weren't there!

Kyle
This is beyond parody now. Brown is going to have to accept the flaming wall of shite coming at him, if enough fans still care enough to throw it.
Broon_100
Sounds like Saints are going after Stevie May as our primary target and expecting that deal to be done. We can't afford to sign both him and Hemmings so Hemmings has to play second fiddle and gets offered a loan deal instead. Hemmings obviously will pick a permanent deal over a loan deal and picks Dundee. Stevie May talks then fall through again and Saints are left with nothing. Nobody. Nada. Proud to be a Saintee. Great days.

big al
Heard May to get 3500 per week at St Johnstone. Incredible wages and a huge gamble. -

If we can get the old Stevie May back then I'd say no. If we get the Aberdeen version then you're probably right.
Numptdee
Serious question if you could have Hemmings permanently or May on same wages who would you take? Surely Hemmings out scores May easily?

Well we hired a manager with a bit of ambition and employed a highly ambitious man (George Yule) on to the board. There was a change almost immediately. From reading this thread the club doesn't communicate or even advertise itself to the fan base. That would be a good start. No?
DeeTillEhDeh
Happy if things go as reported - we get Hemmings and you get May.

Hemmings got I think 23 in 36 games for a team that scraped 6th.

May talks stalled. Again. Would be delighted with May but frankly it sounds like that one either won’t happen or we’ll scramble together a loan on deadline day.

Jamie_B
We’re going to end up with some haddy on loan from a low end English club. The new Sam Parkin at best. This is just a tragic situation we’ve got ourselves in. One of the most financially stable and cash rich clubs in the league letting our two top striking targets go by for reasons that I can’t quite decipher. From what I’ve heard Hemmings was basically lined up and good to go as an alternative if May’s deal fell through. Now both appear to be off the table. It’s an unacceptable situation and there need to be answers forthcoming as to why we’re going into what appears to me to be a crucial game on Saturday without a striker even close to the required standard in our squad.

Tragic answer don,t know what,s worse misty-eyed fans like you who completely ignore statistics or complete business incompetents like Brown and Wright who have presided over the worst close season since the John Connolly managerial fiasco. Do you see a posse of clubs rushing to sign May and if not why not.? Because he,s not worth the risk except to a club with no scouting system and no prospects of an alternative and the negotiating skills of Boris Johnson
