Cant believe the council are still fighting to get the GS Brown sign taken down, absolutely mental.

Perth Council are absolutely hopeless. They seem to direct their attention at insignificant things like a shop-front here or a sign there, presumably whatever the influential pensioner population have complained about that week, all the while overseeing the decline of a town which used to have a good reputation.

They posted some artist’s impressions of new plans for Bridgend where they appeared to want it restricted to one lane in parts to make way for wider cycle lanes and some massive trees. Absolutely mental given how congested that road is already. f**k them.

That'll be after the opening of the new road, which they expect to take all traffic to Scone etc.

Aye, the new road which sole purpose is to alleviate traffic congestion in Bridgend. What a great idea - once we’ve addressed the congestion, let’s make it all congested again by removing a vehicle lane. Fair enough P&K council want to encourage more folk to cycle, but this isn’t going to do it. It’s a bloody mess.

Bring back the trams!

Who actually cares? Bridgend is a shitehole and a few trees ain't going to fix that.

Bridgend is wonderful. Very little could be done to improve it. Got everything you need in life - Milkshake bar where you can smoke shisha, a good Indian takeaway, Friends barber/purveyor of mobile phones, River Green, a great Co-op, the STRATHY, a Kwik-Fit (far better than any Scone-based garages). Not sure if I’m missing anything? Is the hat shop still open? Hopefully. Not many areas can boast a specialist hat shop.

TBF to Tam, a building literally fell down there last year.

True. Won't make Bridgend any more scenic though, will it? Bringing this sort off back to Saints chat, does Nathan Lowndes still own a couple of flats in that monstrosity of a building along from the co-op? A burd I was shagging used to own one next to him.

See Ross Callaghan is the most recent saints player to turn into a world beater in some fans' eyes while on the bench.

No world beater, but a much better option than a limited Murray Davidson, whose one virtue is mistimed tackles, where he gets hurt or booked, and the odd header,

I have seen us put in one decent performance since the winter break, the 0-0 at Ibrox.

I've created excuses constantly in my head along the lines of it just being a poor run, we'll get our form back, it's down to too much tinkering with the team, a poor run of fixtures etc etc

But I'm beginning to ask myself if it's far more simple than that. Maybe we're just not a very good team?

We don't defend well, we don't create many chances, we don't score much and our midfield isn't great at keeping possession or creating. We're not particularly physical, struggle to hold onto a lead when we get it, and don't appear to have much resilience as a squad;  in matches where we have fallen behind during this entire league campaign, we have taken 1 (one) point.

We have very little understanding on the park. Passes regularly go just in front or behind a teammate, when they're not going out the park, which is surely borne out of a lack of consistency in selection.

We are pretty much guaranteed to finish 7th, 8th or 9th.  If we know players are not going to be here next season then they should not feature again. No animosity towards them, let's just focus on preparing the squad we will have, even if it means Watt, Shaughnessy, Alston, Goss etc dropping out.

Possibly seems a bit of an over reaction, but we must be one of the favourites for relegation next season on current form.  A big re-think is required to lift us out of what seems like a bit of a downward spiral.

Confidence is gone, which is huge. We have no real leaders left either.

Not sure we'll be relegated next season, but cant see us challenging the top half either.

Wright has always come up to the plate when we've needed it most, I've no doubts he'll do the same this Summer.

Next season we'll be starting with a fully fit O'Halloran, Swanson and Wright to compliment Kennedy. If he gets the rest of the midfield right, and has the bollocks to use what he has, we'll have an enjoyable season.

All very fair. @PauloPerth

The stat about our record when we go behind is one I didn't know and is alarming but also this season there has been a weakness when we've gone ahead. A few years ago, we were virtually unbeatable if we got a lead. Right from the start of this campaign at home to Hibs and Aberdeen, we've thrown away an advantage.

It was a couple of weeks ago I stopped believing it was just a poor run, although one thing @RandomGuy. is right about is the lack of confidence. His tergiversate reaction to yesterday though, I'm afraid to say, is as up and down as a Ross Callachan performance. You were, excessively, ripping a strip off them yesterday but are burying your head in the sand now.

We need to do exactly as suggested and move on from those that themselves are appearing like to move on and we NEED to find some form again, or next season looks very daunting and, for the first time, Tommy Wright will be under pressure to make a good start. Scraping only 4 or 5 points (hopefully not being optimistic) from the final 7 games will rightly mean we'll be considered amongst the favourites for relegation.

What was definitely clear from the manager's interview on Saints TV is that he is losing patience with the players. Good.

Tbf I was steaming when I posted at some random time this morning, and had just had a delightful kebab.

The world seemed like a beautiful place, and it didn't feel right to put too much negativity into that.

I'm hungover now though, so I'm back to hoping hes got them in training today, although I'd hope he hasn't even bothered asking some of them to turn up.

Just seen the Saints TV interview, ends with a bang...

Quote

"No, it's about some of them picked themselves up. People who know me, I'm pretty loyal, I've protected them long enough. Maybe they should look at themselves and pick themselves up, I'm not accepting that performance. Some of them maybe think since their under contract they'll be here next season, that might not be the case"

Cant help but feel the obvious people that final comment is referring to O'Halloran and Swanson, who haven't done a single thing of note since signing.

I thought it was a good, assertive interview, that hopefully leaves the players in no doubt about a few things. The manager would be entitled to feel let down by Swanson and O'Halloran, who, as said, have contributed nothing since they returned.

Richard Foster also spoke very strongly after the match. Thought, if anything, it was a bit harsh on the performance but it was a refreshing listen compared to what you usually get from players after a game.

The problem for the next few matches is the squad is stretched with injuries so there aren't that many changes the manager can make.

It’s all very well and good being harsh in an interview and with strong words. However until I see it in action, words are all it is, it needs to be shown to convince me.
