So many aspects of the club are a mess right now*neededOur play-off final win, as enjoyable as it was, has just delayed the inevitable. I think that was the feeling of many Saints fans on here before we had played those ties.It was vital that Calum and the Club got off to a good start this season to ease the pressure off, but it could barely have gone worse. The loss of key players, totally piss poor signings, a dreadful performance and result last night against a League 2 outfit and a disgrace of a pitch. There is a huge sense of not giving a f**k coming from the club right now. It doesn’t feel like a club that is trying to turn things around and get us back into the top 6, it feels like we are settling for scrapping about at the bottom of the table again. In fairness, County couldn’t field eleven players at the start of last season, and had three points after ten league games. St Johnstone are hardly alone in treating this tournament as a (barely) glorified friendly. The caveat being at no point did County have Elliott Parish in goals. Over the past week the manager has said the outfield signings are done, claims we were taking the tournament seriously, and last night we played our first choice (due to injuries) back 3, LWB, CM pairing and CF. All of those will likely start our first league game. Don't be fooled by this chat it wasn't a strong team.
