Meesterrodriguez
I bought 8 cans and rolled a couple of doobs earlier thinking I’d have a giggle tonight. I should have gone for 3 bottles of buckfast and a gram of mandy. What a fucking scunner.
PSJ.84
The statement attached to Saints’ tweet is mad. Almost suggesting McCann pushed for a move…
Fife Saint
The true value of this will come out in the fullness of time, right now this looks like a horrific error in my opinion.

Do you honestly think Brown would have went for any other narrative? Hands were tied. Player forced the move. Couldn't do anything. Boooo the player. Count the money.
PauloPerth
THE Football Club would like to wish Ali McCann every success at Preston North End. Ali has joined the English Championship side for a significant seven-figure transfer fee which could spiral into being St Johnstone's record transfer fee received. With attractive and achievable add-ons in place, the final fee is anticipated to break the £1.75million Blackburn Rovers paid for Callum Davidson in 1998. Ali is a product of the highly regarded Saints youth system and was an integral part of the Cup Double success last season. Several clubs from both sides of the border wanted to sign Ali and many bids were rejected. But the player expressed a desire to move to England. Saints Chairman, Steve Brown, said: "We tried very hard to resist all of the bids for Ali. "But Preston's offer is a huge sum and one we couldn't turn down. In time, it is likely to become the club's record transfer fee received. "In all situations, we also have to take the wishes of the player into account and Ali told us he wanted to play in England. "Reluctantly, we have allowed Ali to move to Preston and we wish him all the very best as he has been a great player for the Football Club and a first-class individual."
Honest Saints Fan
Browns wee spiel at the bottom. f**k off.
steviemay17
If Callum Davidson has sense he walks. Other teams see him as a double winning manager against all the odds and his stock is high, this team may legitimately struggle to score more than 10 goals all season and we've sold two of our best players leaving no time for replacements
RandomGuy.
We've genuinely sold Ali McCann for £1.2m and replaced him with Cammy MacPherson on loan.

If there were ‘several’ clubs in for him then I doubt we’d have ended up with £1.2m…

First decent job in league one or English championship comes up he surely puts himself forward.

buddie06smfc
There’s many a quote to be dug out about this sensation due to go for £4+ million. Needed more montages of him running about IMO. In any case, Cammy Macpherson is a tidy footballer if nothing else. Hopefully his stint at St Johnstone will see him get more first team football and help him develop for a shot in our first team next season.

If he gets knocked back, then he has every right to jump at the first job offer. As a minimum, we should be looking to turn Middleton's loan permanent and identifying signings and getting them in at the start of the next window. New contracts for Clark, McCart and Rooney too.
