DrewDon Posted September 1, 2022 Share Posted September 1, 2022 When McLennan first broke into our team under McInnes, I really liked him. He was direct, strong, and had a knack of making things happen without ever looking particularly good technically. Since then, though, he seems to have been on a gradual downward spiral. It was like we were trying to make him into a more rounded player, which was understandable, but that actually ended up hampering him and reducing his effectiveness. I genuinely hope he does well at Saints and benefits from a fresh start. If he can rediscover some of the attributes and form that initially made him an exciting prospect with us then all might not be lost.
