I've got it as 8 out of 8. Pollok were in the Super First the year we went down, and in fairness not all of the wins were against them.

League (Central District Division 1)     Newlandsfield     H     Cambuslang Rangers     1 - 0
Scottish Junior Cup (Semi Final 1st leg)     Newlandsfield     A     Pollok     3 - 2
Central League Cup (Final)     Newlandsfield Park     H     Ashfield     2 - 0
League (Super Premier Division)     Newlandsfield     A     Pollok     5 - 4
Central League Cup (Final)     Newlandsfield Park     A     Shotts Bon Accord     3 - 0
League (Super Premier Division)     Newlandsfield Park     A     Pollok     1 - 0
League (Super Premier Division)     Newlandsfield Park     A     Pollok     4 - 3
Central League Cup (Final)     Newlandsfield Park     A     Cumbernauld United     3 - 0

You are missing one. Our competitive record at Newlandsfield is Played 9 Won 9.......

Fixtures also confirmed for Wednesday 24th and Saturday 27th.

The only outstanding fixture still to be scheduled now is Yoker Athletic v Petershill.

Which was one of the first midweek games scheduled before vanishing from the fixture list without explanation.

Yes, I remember that, Peasy had the bus booked and announced the time for its departure at the game v us. Then the fixture disappeared and neither side knew why, and both teams were idle that evening. Bizarre.

A win for us on Saturday ( big ask ) would leave Girvan requiring to get minimum of 2 wins and a draw from their 3 games in a week and making up whatever goal difference we'd then be on at that point to win the league. As chance would have it - Girvan's last game is at Holm Park ... with a big crowd guaranteed cheering on the Whe Ho ...

A win for us on sat will promote us back to super premier and that didn't look like possible a while back but the boys and gaffer have got it together in time for a last dash. The league title would be great but promotion is a must.

Mon the papers

Promotion in our own hands - which is all you can ask for. If we win and Girvan get minimum of 7 points then fair play - they'll have deserved it

Petershill's last game is at Yoker as well.

...Medda like the papers r top flight teams.

I know what you're meaning when you say that, but surely clubs can't hang onto the status of "we're a top flight team" forever ?

Shotts Bon Accord were winning the Scottish Junior Cup only five years ago and were promoted that season to the Super Premier League, but are now relegated to the Central District League. At the end of the day, there are currently only 12 places in the top flight, and over the past few years we have had Petershill, Cumnock, Rob Roy, Glenafton, Hurlford, Pollok, Beith, Kilwinning, Largs, Troon, Clydebank, Shettleston and Irvine Meadow all in the Super First Division, and other former top flight teams have fallen through to the District Leagues like Bellshill, Johnstone Burgh and Lanark United.

The status of "we're a top flight team" is earned on the pitch, and it looks likely that Clydebank will justify that tag, but possibly not Meadow this year. Meadow were working on an unsustainable financial model which resulted in them almost going out of business, so for me their co-managers have done a very good job this season to stabilise the team in what is a very difficult league to climb out of at the top, but a very easy league to fall out of at the bottom.

I think it could've been possible yes although the lack of consistency was a worry. However the new guys haven't really brought anyone in - indeed the squad is smaller now. Anyhoo we are where we are and the new guys deserve our support and they've certainly presided over a great run recently and put us in a great position - so that must be lauded wholeheartedly.
