My favourite boozer on the planet, bar none. Could spend days in there. Sadly gurny old Jimmy was never in during the times I've been in, would have been great to get a chat with him and hear some stories, but alas it'll never be. Read a fair few articles on him over the years, hell of an interesting guy. Some life he had.

New York is the wife's favourite place, and Jimmy's Corner is the one part of our trips there that I really look forward to the most. Hopefully it's still there when we get to go again.

Aye il be gutted if I dont get back before it gets shut down or commercialised. I seen his wife more than I seen him, and tbh Jimmy was so old, and getting senile that he really just shuffled about briefly, not saying all that much.

That said, the very first time I went there, after I had attended Jones v Calzaghe at the Garden, his wife said he was away working Monte Barretts corner so he did keep on going till a fair age.

Theres an old guy with grey hair who works there, hes quiet at first but if you can get him talking he has all the stories, and some class patter. Mrs Glenn was also a real character. Getting folk telt left right and centre.

Fucking getting me all nostalgic thinking about it, but it really is just an amazing wee bolt hole, totally put of place in one of the most heavily commercialised places on the whole planet.

Best pub I’ve ever been in, I’ve recommended the place to several people on here over the years. Jimmy was a miserable old b*****d the couple of times I’ve seen him in there. Great place to spend a couple of hours, sitting at the bar chatting to all sorts of characters who frequent the place. Still only $3 a beer when I was last there.

The Gypsy King will reign supreme.
AJ has nothing for Fury at this point. Probably still gun shy and lacking in stamina by comparison, robotic with little lateral/head movement. I dont see how he beats Fury.

He has decent power, but in two fights against someone who is faster with much better power, Fury hasnt been taken out (almost granted).

I expect Fury to rinse AJ out and finish his career for him

SSN reporting Fury and AJ have agreed a 2 fight deal. Venue and dates still not decided.

Seen a video of Fury saying he will fight Wilder first.

Hard to see it being this year so unlikely to have three fights in one year.

Wilder late this year (unlikely) or start of next year (more likely) and then Joshua late next year is more than doable. Second fight against Joshua ‘22. Presumably is dependent on Fury beating Wilder again (likely) and Joshua winning should he fight a mandatory.

Daniel Kinahan being given the credit for getting the AJ Fury deal done. I like how IFL TV would have you believe MTK are some sort of cuddly charitable organisation and that suggestions otherwise are nothing but an Irish media smear campaign.

Unless Wilder has some huge change in attitude he'll get battered again. Fury and AJ both did a terrific job on their most recent opponents by listening to coaches who saw a way for them to totally nullify their opponents. Andy Lee has to take so much credit for the way Fury performed. AJ too did exactly what he had to do against a short guy. Wilder again didn't listen to Breland and got made to look like a mug (though it made for a great tear up and let Fury show what he could do).

Of course Fury is a more natural boxer than AJ and bigger too but AJ will do the things to nullify Fury that Wilder didn't and follow a plan. Could make certainly their first fight a bit of a shitfest.

I would assume their first fight will be very similar in style to the Fury v Wlad fight, with Fury winning it by 5 or 6 rounds.

For scheduling, there was a Top Rank card in the States on Wednesday night (Shakur Stevenson won handily in the main event) so there's nothing to suggest that Fury v Wilder and Joshua v Pulev couldn't both happen in Q4 this year.  Assuming both win and get through unscathed, the first fight could then be April  / May time and the rematch August / September (if in the UK) or October - December if abroad. Definitely doable.

Fingers crossed we're back to a degree of normality by the time the first fight comes along and fans can attend. Having that fight at Wembley with 90,000 people in attendance would be tremendous.

Would be tremendous if it’s in the UK but I can’t see it.

Quite like the Christmas/Boxing Day (can't get my head round the time difference) Fury v Wilder in Australia proposal.

Presuming AJ v Fury would be in Bahrain as Kinahan has done a deal with the Bahrain Royal Family to bring comat sports there. Drug dealing there is punishable by death.

Could potentially have the promoter being beheaded as part of the AJ Fury undercard.
