RedRob72
Just shows you how bad the fight will be. A bit different to the Frampton/Cruz conference yesterday where two proper boxers showed each other the respect they deserve, the fans also supportive of both fighters, just how it should be.British Heavyweight boxing (Joshua aside) is a joke.

British Heavyweight boxing (Joshua aside) is a joke. It's just unfortunate that Fury appears to have achieved his aims and seems fairly comfortable that he's nowt else to prove. Unfortunately those of my generation remember when British heavyweight boxers and British tennis players were just playing at it on the world stage. Boostin' Kev
The build up to this fight is going to be nauseating I'm hoping to avoid as much of it as possible.

J_Stewart
Conor McGregor's been granted a licence to box professionally in California. Let the "Mayweather coming out of retirement to fight UFC Mega Star" headlines begin.Floyd would toy with him in an utter damp squib. Build up would be entertaining though.

kiddy
Akin to the Brownlee's taking on Michael Phelps, Mo Farah or Chris Froome, in individual races.
The Chlamydia Kid
This. Mayweather Gatti all over again except maybe even less competitive. Gattin would have smashed any MMA fighter to pieces in a boxing match.
ICTChris
Dan Rafael wrote an article about this saying it's basically a publicity stunt. You get a California boxing license by pay $60, filling in a form and passing a medical. MacGregor is still under contract to UFC, who aren't likely to want to see their highest profile fighter taking effectively a year out for a nothing fight and then watch him get smashed up. One of Mayweather's advisers pours cold water on the whole thing and says, pointedly, that the only reason this is being brought up is because MacGregor is white and promoters like the idea of a black vs white match.

If that were the case, they'd be better off putting the President-Elect in with Floyd. Though it would have a similar outcome.
Boostin' Kev
Of course it's a publicity stunt.
Boostin' Kev
Quite a lot on this weekend. Got to hand it to Richard Commey travelling to Russia to fight Shafikov tonight 3 months after the Easter Jr battle. Fight's taking place in a venue called Tough Fight Gym, the Russians don't mess around. Jose Ramirez fighting on a Unimas card tonight as well. Lebedev - Gassiev tomorrow should be good and exactly the type of fight that w****r Bellew should be taking instead of playing bad pantomime with Haye. Then there's the glamorous Paisley Leisure Centre card that Billy Ho Saunders is headlining.
Boostin' Kev
Any reason been given? Wonder if he feels like Hearn has more interest in packing the First Direct in Leeds repeatedly than getting him big fights which there's plenty of at 126.
