Would be absolutely sensational if that was topping the undercard at the Hydro for Taylor v Catterall. Will be going along anyway, but that'd make me buy the ticket doubly quick.

Reported on a Matchroom/DAZN card. Taylor's with Top Rank/ESPN

Ah, that's a shame. Was hoping with Taylor being on sky that link might see it work.

Tbf, it deserves to main event a card really. Two fantastic young fighters, and if it's anything like the first it'll be a brilliant watch.

Can see Fury Wilder being over pretty sharpish. Fury looks great. Wilder’s solution to getting ragdolled was to get a yes man as head trainer. Would like to see Wilder win as Wilder Usyk would be like some Tekken 2 fight between two different species (and to hear wilder try and pronounce Usyk) but Firy walked through his best shot last time so can’t see how this is different.

Great fight between two great fighters but is this the best time for McGregor v Farooq rematch?
Do any of these guys have the chance to win a world title and bring that to a rematch to make it a bigger event?

Could be another close one, & their rivalry see them still meeting again later in their careers.

He's as fat as f**k.

The wee bits that count - his face, top of the moobs,, shoulders, all look like he has done at least a few sparring sessions in the last couple of weeks. Fit for purpose anyway.

Fury has never once looked like anything other than a man made of pastry. It doesn't matter how he comes in looking really. It only matter whether he can implement the same gameplan as the previous two fights long enough to do the damage without getting Wilder'd.

We all know he can, but I have an odd wee feeling for this one. The sort if feeling only someone with game changing punch power can give you....

Looking forward to getting this one out of the road to be honest. The build up is absolute drivel. Fury will hand out another bleaching as Wilder is dreadful. Hiring a yes man in Malik Scott will have done nothing to change matters over the last year or so.

A complete and utter non event.

Malik at least talks a good game. He said he’d only take the job if Wilder admitted to him that Fury not only beat him but truly battered him and that he must accept that he has to use more “tools” than simply looking for the big right hand. He’ll probably revert to type in no time but it means Wilder has admitted privately he needed to improve, even if publicly he’s still going on about dodgy gloves and subliminal messages etc costing him the last fight.

Calling Wilder dreadful is a bit harsh, he’s been a legitimate heavyweight world champion, defended his title multiple times and is amongst the top 4 or 5 in the world in his weight class. Of his 42 wins he’s won 41 by stoppage, and wether your doing that in the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley or MSG it’s still impressive. Technically, if we are looking at his raw boxing skills, he probably wouldn’t even be in the top 1000. However he possesses the ability to absolutely spark out any boxer on the planet at a seconds notice; Fury, AJ, Usyk included. He’s not going to set traps like a Canelo, or dance around you like a Lomachenko, but if he’s still standing infront of you during any of those 36 minutes there’s a chance that right hand lands flush. He’s had Fury down twice before so it’s not inconceivable that he could do it again. I don’t think he will to be fair, and I think it will be a similar fight to the last one, but I don’t think even Fury or his team will be disregarding Wilders power, it is genuine one punch knockout stuff and that’s something that Fury doesn’t possess.

Yeah agreed. He lacks fundamentals but its the fight game and theres more than one way to skin a cat. His way is brutally effective. Fury was a second or two away/the wrong referee away from being just another victim of that lets not forget.

Im glad he wasnt, but youv seen it happen plenty of times and our current conversaton would be markedly different.

That’s very true. The referee in that fight actually done an excellent job and the count was fair, Fury was up on 9 and put his arms out to lean on the referees shoulders to stabilise himself. The ref instantly pushed him away and asked him to walk to his left then come back to him, which Fury obviously managed. Another referee might have looked at the heavy knockdown, seen Fury’s eyes closed and waved it off instantly.

Most people have probably seen this before but for anyone who hasn’t it’s a good watch.
