Yeah its not really that small, 16 stone is still a big man but cant see him troubling any of the bigger punching heavyweights. He's too good for Joyce, love to see him fight fury as hes not a massive puncher but Fury leaning on him etc would cause major issues. Cant see it happening but for Taylor i hope im wrong.

The footwork to change angle, allied to the hand speed and accuracy makes him dangerous enough to be a serious contender anyway. If he can get through a credible, tough first opponent (eg Povetkin, Takam - the B list) he has to be a serious threat to any of the top 4 or 5.

Ricky Burns already quoted to be on the AJ undercard. If the WBSS in Glasgow goes tits up then a wee trip to New York for Taylor could be a ready-made replacement fight.

Yeah. Lomachenko isnt a hugely powerful puncher id say but he hits you flush with perfect tekkers and from angles you are still adjusting to when the shot lands. Usyk is similar in that regard and as already said, even if you are 18 stone, a perfect shot with 16.5 stone behind it is going to earn your respect. Usyks workrate is going to have you struggling to keep up, and his ability to make you miss is energy sapping.

Fury would have the tank for it, so would Wilder but maybe not the chin. AJ is a maybe on both tanks IMO.

I could honestly see Usyk beating or losing to those three, but what he would do to tje lower level guys like Whyte would be splendid to watch. The look of pure confusion on their faces would be Mosley-esque

Bellew was doing quite a bit of Fury-esque bobbing and weaving and Usyk just worked out the timing and IIRC Bellew dipped his nose perfectly onto a Usyk uppercut right on the bell at the end of the 6th or 7th. Whyte has been the most vocal calling out Usyk and saying he's just ragdoll him but also said before there wouldn't be enough money in a fight with him. Different story if it's the US though, rather than as a UK PPV fight. Won't happen immediately but can see that being one big HW fight that could actually be made without too many obstacles.

Wilder will fight Breazeale 18th of May.

Ducker, needs to prove himself etc etc.

Is that actually happening? Can't see anything confirmed. Think the WBC wanted Whyte v Breazeale with the winner to fight Wilder but Wilder now at a loose end with Fury choosing not to fight him.

He could have fought Whyte tbh. He's been his mandatory for a while now.

Whyte isn’t the mandatory for any belt and has turned down two final eliminators (against Ortiz & Pulev) to become one. He’s also turned down the Joshua fight for 3 belts, not quite sure what he wants...
He's been number 1 in the WBC for a while has he not ?
