The Diddees have now got just four seasons left to avoid taking over Hibs’ mantle as the longest Scottish Cup trophy drought ever experienced by a professional football club. Just let that sink in.

January 2024, here we come!

Thanks to some guy eating a pangolin in the backwoods of China, Dundee's routine exit at the big boys' round this season leaves them with just two years and nine months to end the hoodoo and avoid assuming Hibs' mantle.

No pressure then.

May as well just get the patter in now lads. Not a fucking chance are we putting Rangers out.

I would have to tag VirginTON in this to alert him.

He doesn't get much time in the  'Domestic Cup Football' part of the forum.

Not to mention 34 years out of the top flight and never won it - just runner-up once - in 1915-16.

And they aren't that far behind us when it comes to the Scottish Cup - 100 years this year since they last won it and 74 years since they were in a Scottish Cup final.

Or their magnificent European record of played 2 lost 2 with a 3-9 aggregate result.

And their list of League Cup wins in chronological order:

  • vikingTON changed the title to 113 Years of Hurt

Congratulations to Dundee FC for contriving to get knocked out in their most creative and useless manner yet. Spending 2 hours and 45 minutes playing a cup tie, without ever finding the back of the net. Even from the penalty spot. With multiple attempts.

I'm sorry but I can't quite see that over some relevant information to this thread. Let's restate that then:
