Dunipace 4 Royal Albert 1

The only way is up baby, for you and me now. Dunipace romped to  the 3 points as Albert self combusted at Westfield.

1-0 : keeper doesnt clear the ball and sclaffs it off the Pace winger who then picks up the loose ball and squares it across the box for the inrushing player to knock the ball into an empty net.

2-0 : Albert again fail to clear their lines and after it bobbled about a bit it was finally knocked home.

Two up at the lemons and looking good for the pace.

2-1 : penalty for Albert is hit in to the strikers left. Penalty was soft, ball took a deflection and hit the defender on the hand.

3-1 : ball into the box, Albert player falls on the ball and clearly handles but ref plays advantage and the Pace manage to get to the ball and ram it home.

4-1 : penalty and red card after 7 is taken out when through one on one with the keeper. Penalty is saved by the goalie to his right but Pace are first to the loose ball and its game over as the Pace hit 4 in the league for the first time since season 2014-15.

Carluke 2 LANARK 2

Poor game, both teams mediocre.

Ex Lanark boy 'wee Speedie' missed a sitter early on when through 1 on 1 with our keeper. Thought we deserved our opener through Wishaw loanee Bannerman after great work by big Saaf. Lead didn't last long - 1-1 at HT

Speedie made amends 2nd half to put Carluke ahead after 67 minutes. Thought our keeper should have done better.

Very little between the teams. Lanark kept plugging away. Another ex Lanark player Daniel Tobin pulled off a wonder save in injury time. Carluke failed to clear the subsequent corner and Kieran McGurk hit the equaliser from the edge of the box through several players on 48th minute. Very unusual for Lanark to pull something out of a game so late on. Normally one of our failings to allow it to happen to us.

Thankfully that is us finished with artificial surfaces in the league this season. Never enjoyable to watch a game at Carluke, great facility that it is for the town.  The time wasting becomes tiresome too.

Game should of been quicker but the ref told the Carluke bench to stop chasing the ball when it was out of play

I presume he meant get the spare balls into play quicker rather than waiting to retrieve the balls which had gone out of play?

Great signing with Halford the Newmains GK signing on at Lanark.

Your keeper must have had 5 or 6 top drawer saves and we missed a hatful of chances over and above that so, yes it could have been.  I didn't say it should have.

Great news that we have signed the keeper from Newmains.
