DumbartonTheSons
Dunfermline aren't, neither are Qots as far as I'm aware. Whether it's true or not I don't know, but there was chat on a thread a week or so ago, which seemed to be confirmed by a QOS fan, that Donnie was on close to £2k per week. Now if that wasn't subsidised in some way, I'd love to know how it was financed.
DumbartonTheSons
Getting paid full-time money to train twice a week sounds quality. I'm surprised that hasn't attracted a few more players to be honest. This. I know we've done it before with a handful of players, but for players in their late 20's, surely that'd be seen as a win-win scenario. Stellaboz
Don't forget that Skacels wages are from a wealthy benefactor. [emoji1]
HoBNob
There's a couple of players at Raith, McManus is also subsidised. And they're still running at a loss.
Joma Boo
Raith got £50k from some guy who owns a care home! I wonder how many of the poor old codgers didn't make it through the winter as a result.

DumbartonTheSons
Out of interest, what is reckoned to be an average full-time wage at this level? Not a Dobbie, Stevenson or Skacel or perhaps Sibbald, but an average full-timer at an established Championship club. Joma Boo
There's probably quite a range. I think a mean figure might be £500/£

Glenconner
Get serious folks, if your average attendance is 1500 you ain't paying out a grand a week per player. Plus buying players plus upkeep of stadium plus police plus pay TAX etc
flyingscot
Last time we won the First Division 10 years ago our wages amounted to £1m a year from turnover of £1.9m. Easy to assume that figure will be higher for inflation etc.
