Not a single word about any new signings on the back page of today's AP. Six days left of the transfer window. Ominous.

Sounds like we will be going with what we have which will more than likely end up in relegation.

Although following on from the Snodgrass exclusive last week apparently in 1977 Steve Archibald could have signed from Clyde, as if that makes everyone feel better. If the AP try the same thing in 40 years on the players we've missed out on this season it'll be a long list.

Exciting times eh.

St Mirren are making some cracking signings, looking like Stephen McGinn to join them tomorrow. If their new side clicks we are truly fucked.

Dumbarton and Raith should still be fellow  shitfest contenders come end of season.

Our Badge / Club Crest is as important to the club, if not more so, than our Stadium and IS our history. Personally I'd be looking on them fighting it all the way and causing as much trouble as possible in the press and across social media as is heavenly possible. If someone can produce a 21st century common sense rationale as to WHY we need to change this, then believe me, I'd love to hear it.

Personally, I'd say screw them !!

It's only a badge.

Wat happens if we dont change it ....

The Lyon Court  is a standing court of law which regulates heraldry in Scotland. It is fully integrated into the Scottish legal system  and has both civil and criminal jurisdiction. The procurator fiscal appears in any proceedings before the Lyon Court on behalf of the Lord Advocate.

Persons or corporations who display heraldic devices to which they do not have a lawful right commit an offence under Scots Law.  The use of symbols and devices which may be classed as a part of the system of heraldry (popularly called coats of arms etc...) is strictly controlled in Scotland. There is a Public Register  of Arms and all such symbols must be recorded if they are to be legally used in Scotland.  The Crown charges fees for recording and as a consequence, it is only right that it extends protection to those who comply with the law by preventing infringement by others: either copying existing Arms as if they were theirs or devising Arms without registration.  Those who use arms without right may sometimes do so in ignorance of the law but it is always for a purpose: to convey a sense of status, establishment or quality.  This is very similar to our laws relating to Intellectual Property, Trademarks and Copyright.  It should be noted that even where an heraldic device has been incorporated into a Registered Trademark the 'mark' cannot be used in any way which would amount to an assertion (actual or implied) that the trademark holder has the right to use the Arms as their own.

There are penalties for infringing such rights and it is the duty of this office to deal with those issues relating specifically with heraldry because of its unique and important role in Scots culture particularly in relation to the clan system.

This Office regularly deals with complaints concerning alleged infringements of the Law of Arms from a variety of sources.  Many of these concern unregistered  'DIY' heraldry but also  usurpation of registered arms.  Each complaint is investigated on its merits and it is always a matter of the procurator fiscal's absolute discretion to decide whether to prosecute infringements. If the procurator fiscal decides to act he will do so by letter, warning or, if necessary, by way of prosecution before the Lyon Court.

Is Nisbet away? Or did we extend his deal

No mention of him in the AP so can only assume he's away given he wasn't in the Scottish cup squads. Surely to f**k we are not trying to complete the season with one solitary striker who's half fit though.

As it stands we must be the only team who have not only failed to strengthen, but actually got weaker!
Was speaking to a pal who works with one of the senior players last night - says he feels really sorry for Moore as he's being built right up as the saviour despite just being a young guy whos done zero training etc since July and still feels dizzy at times. Bit worrying

We really NEED to sign a couple of players with a striker being a MUST and not just a "if the right player becomes available" nonsense.

We might be part time but that excuse only goes so far. Teams in the 2nd and 3rd divisions appear to still manage to bring in experienced players and also young players on Loan from the likes of the Old Firm, Aberdeen and the Edinburgh clubs. So I'm sorry, I just don't accept that there's nobody out there who is available or could do a job for us.

Forwards signed by Championship sides in this window:

Dumbarton - Lewis Vaughan, Christian Nade
Dundee Utd - Thomas Mikkelsen
Dunfermline - none, but already have 4
Falkirk - none, but already have 6
Hibs - none, but already have 6
Morton - Lawrence Shankland
Queen of the South - none, but already have 4
Raith - Ryan Hardie, Ryan Stevenson
St Mirren - Rory Loy, Cammy Smith

Ayr - none, but already have, eh, 1.

Massive five days ahead for McCall. Messing up this window will surely relegate you.

Not to mention the one striker we do have has massive fitness problems and is just back from 6 months out.
