Its well seen that we're in a break from club football. If you don't approve of, or even despise it would seem, their views just ignore them. In my opinion, they're all entitled to their view. Surely there's Motherwell related football issues to be discussed? @‘WellDel called it. I’d hope nobody on here thinks twice about calling out roaster behaviour anywhere they find it. The caveat of any forums are, you make mad suggestions, wild predictions or unhinged theories then expect to get met with a grounding piss take. These forums replace pub discussions after all. Don’t know about anyone else but seeing or being on the receiving end of a withering put down is one of the main reasons I keep on returning. If you find something disagreeable then you may want to heed your own advice and ignore it?
well fan for life
Granted Twitter is even more of a hellscape than it is usual right now thanks to E*on but folk bending themselves out of shape about a mid season training camp or lack thereof is a pretty mad thing to be bothered about.

I think Burrows and the board are astute enough to understand our current position and wouldn't even have considered the notion of the trip if it wasn't financially viable with all other required monies already in place. Exactly this. We became fully fan-owned in October 2016. Our first full season as a fan-owned club was 17/18. In that time we've turned profit in 3 of the 4 full seasons - including record profits twice. 17/18 - £1.72m 18/19 - (£436k) 19/20 - £346,590 20/21 - £3.57m With that in mind I'm entirely comfortable with the idea that Burrows and the board are capable of making decisions on whether we can/can't afford to do something. 1 hour ago, well fan for life said: Granted Twitter is even more of a hellscape than it is usual right now thanks to E*on but folk bending themselves out of shape about a mid season training camp or lack thereof is a pretty mad thing to be bothered about. 100%. A winter training camp was a fixture of our schedule while Robinson was at the club. If Hammell thinks it'd be beneficial, sees value in it and the numbers make sense then absolutely crack on. If the logistics don't work then it doesn't happen. Fine. It's a weird thing for folk to be clutching their pearls over. capt_oats
I'm sure I've mentioned this before but that Davies goal is probably my favourite Motherwell goal. Edited November 26, 2022 by capt_oats

Certainly one of the best worked. But favourite. Far too many others too choose imho. For me top 5: 5. Jutkiewicz in 6-6 Hibs game 4. Marc Fitzpatrick - Hearts League Cup Semi 3. Reid - Aberdeen away to clinch 2nd in 2014 2. Louis Moult - 2nd goal in League Cup semi v Rangers 1. Stevie Kirk 4th goal - Scottish Cup final Honourable mentions for Skippy Sunday and Lionel v Rangers in the play offs. -

We're going to need a Top Ten here, at least.
ropy
I have a fondness for Hateley’s goal in Odense, first European away goal I had seen, kept us in the tie, effectively the last kick of the ball, first attempt a cross to the back post, had to be retaken, second attempt straight in at the near post, much jumping.

All pivotal goals. Reid’s goal was not anywhere near the beautiful top 5 but for the seethe it should get mentioned in top 10 for me. Carl McHugh’s volley vs Hearts Jim Hamilton vs Celtic Hastie’s run from his own half during the purple patch as we don’t score like that ever. Van Der Gaag’s goal vs Dunfermline. If that didn’t go in we could very well be where they are these days. Edited November 26, 2022 by Kapowzer

rowsdower
Tommy F'n Coyne. He's the measuring stick for every other motherwell striker for me, so they're all kind of screwed. We've had some good ones, but few as intelligent as him. I long for the crafty b*****d + utter pest partnership again.

He's the one former player if I met I'd be a tongue-tied, bashful schoolgirl around. Moult gets close. We're not had a Dougie Arnott since Dougie Arnott. Here's a debate worthy question: You've got peak Moult, Coyne, Arnott and Higdon available for our next game plus pick any winger/attacking midfielder (guess most would go for Turnbull? Nicky Law?). How would you set up, who would start and who would be introduced. Robinson would probably crowbar 3 of them into a forward line and therefore have two out of position. Could 2 clever strikers in Coyne and Moult work together? I suppose Wright and Bright did at Crystal Palace .... Sutton and Shearer at Blackburn ..... Sheringham and Solskjaer at Man United.
