Dogs in the street knew that Moult has been crocked for a while and it was clearly a gamble to bring him back. The idea that Hammell didn't know about that when we signed him is genuinely bizarre and wasn't worth the diplomatic answer that Moult gave. It's feasible/likely that Hammy is frustrated that we've not been able to play him more than we have but that isn't the way the question was put. That annoyed me too, it was off the back of Hammell being frustrated that the injury meant we hadn’t seen as much of Moult as he had hoped, this was totally misrepresented in the question.
Phillips455
Just heard that we have asked for the Christmas eve game against Kilmarnock at home to be moved to the Friday 23rd. No confirmation yet and Kilmarnck would have to agree as well. Edited November 9, 2022 by Phillips455

If I find out what journo was talking to Louis like that he's getting chinned. Bet he wouldn't try that pish at Ibrox or Parkhead, he'd get a 10 year ban and have to make a grovelling apology a la Mikey Stewart.

It's not so much the fact we lose, it's how we do it that screams relegation - KVV has now missed literally open goals in consecutive home games and Slattery at the 0-1 tonight is one of the most comical pieces of incompetence you'll ever see.
Ron Aldo
We're just one mistake after another. I look forward to Hammell pointing out said mistakes after the match before we no doubt go out and commit similar on Saturday. We aren't a million miles away from being a decent team but we're so fucking frustrating.

Be prepared to panic then as we’re losing on Saturday. I genuinely believe we are a shoe in for finishing in the bottom 2.

We’re not utterly dross and play some neat stuff at times so the narrative is ‘ach you’ll be fine’ and then you see other teams picking up results and then you’re suckered in. Bother. Big bother.

Gianfranco
It’s been a shit week for us with what happened on Sunday and County with a double win and United winning tonight as well. For about the 10th time this season, Saturday feels like a massive game.

welldaft
Would love to know if the stat exists for shots on target v goals conceded. @capt_oats may be able to help confirm my fears that we are by far the worst in the league. Celtic possibly deserved to win, but again we have conceded 2 goals from 3 shots on target. We seem so easy to score against even if our GD is respectable by historic measures. That or we are playing without a goalkeeper. Every other team is picking up points but we have been on a wretched run. Saturday is massive. We need a positive result. Handsome_Devil
Not that I think it cost us (because I don't think we'd have scored had they not got their second) but can someone explain why that second goal stood when the guy blocked the throw? He didn't look 2m away and even if he was I reckon he was off the pitch...you surely can't get away with that?

I was playing fives so haven’t seen any of it. I was going to ask if we looked any more solid with Bevis and SOD but I think your post answers my question.
YassinMoutaouakil
What happened off the ball a few minutes before H/T? Kelly and a few others going mental at the ref?
ropy
O’Donnell had tackled in the box, the ball was cleared then Hetate (sp?) did ‘something’ I didn’t see it clearly but the reaction in unison suggested it was something nefarious.
eliphas
I'm so glad that run of 10 games is over. Was not looking forward to it all and it panned out that way. Chuck in the injuries and it was shite. World cup break coming at a good time for injured players and the next 10 is a much more palatable lot. St M twice, St J twice, Hibs at home, Hearts at home, Ross C at home, no Celtic for a start. Edited November 9, 2022 by eliphas

Well we've got the 5th best goals against record in the league so that's something. I'm sure WyScout have an exact figure for the shots on target against for the entire league but I don't have a subscription so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We average 12.3 shots per game against and we've conceded 21 in 15 games so an average of 1.4 conceded per game. For context United average 15.7 shots against per game and have conceded 30 goals in 15 games so an average of 2 per game. Killie average 12.5 shots per game against and have conceded 27 goals in 15 games an average of 1.8. For the sake of being correct here's a list of our shots on target against (and goals conceded): 09/11 - Celtic 3 (2) 06/11 - Hearts 7 (3) 29/10 - United 3 (0) 22/10 - Aberdeen 3 (2) 16/10 - Rangers 4 (2) 08/10 - Hibs 5 (1) 04/10 - County 1 (0) 01/10 - Celtic 6 (2) 18/09 - Hearts 6 (3) 03/09 - United 3 (0) 27/08 - Killie 4 (2) 20/08 - Livi 1 (0) 13/08 - Aberdeen 3 (2) 06/08 - St Johnstone 3 (2) 31/07 - St Mirren 6 (0) Total - 58 (21)

Sod seemed to basically lean onto hatate to get himself up off the ground and hatate kinda pushes him away and swings a leg at him to do it. Could have been construed as a kick out but was more handbags and both at it to me.

Perhaps unsurprisingly the better teams need less shots on target to score more goals. Still seems a high % to concede a goal for less than 3 shots on goal on average. Probably not a great example but last night Aberdeen had 10 shots on target v Livi and scored 1 goal. Going by our average they would have scored between 3 and 4 goals against us. Either Livi were very lucky or we are unlucky. Truth is probably somewhere in between
