Motherwell FC - A Thread For All Seasons

This might sound silly but is it possible that a change in recruitment policy has led to the lack of "rumours"?

Transfers under Robinson were generally made up of random English lower league players, the occasional punt who might have spent time in an EPL academy and ex-Livi players. Is it possible that a change in policy has made it harder for journos to source rumours on who we might be signing?

Either that or we have no one lined up and Alan Burrows will be getting hounded from the usual suspects as to how the silence is more deafening than ever.

How very naive. Scott Burns has a deal with the devil that makes sure he knows who every club in Scotland is in talks with.

If hes not speaking, theres nothing happening.

5 minutes after scanning the first day of training photos for new faces.

I am slightly worried that we don't seem to have anything in the works. Even the rumour mill is dead. We need to sign 5 or 6 players good enough to start every week.

Burrows made it pretty clear we have plenty in the works, better quality players take longer to tie down given they will have other clubs also interested. We could sign 20 players tomorrow if we just accepted anyone and let’s be honest some of the signings under Robinson were not being chased by multiple clubs.

Or maybe the leaks that were coming out of FP have been "plugged" figuratively speaking.

Noticed a picture on twitter of the team training in a Teal training top, maybe a hint as to what colour the away kit could be? someone mentioned it could be time for another fluorescent away kit.

I wouldn't read too much into the training kit or that (last season's training kit had black and silver variants for example) but either way "New, bespoke" colours on the away kit apparently...

never actually thought about it that way tbh, good point. FWIW, the claret and amber training tops from two seasons ago were belters, And I quite like the Teal too, the training stuff has been good recently.

New and bespoke, interesting, time will tell, can't be far away from being released, were a few weeks away when the home top was released, as you alluded to earlier, that probably means early august...

Scott Burns has us signing a left-footed winger called Justin Amaluzor from Maidstone (playing in England's sixth tier) on a one-year deal.

Can play anywhere across the front 3 klaxon....

Quote

Maidstone's Head of Football John Still said "Justin is quick, bright and has got a goal in him. He can play wide on either side – he likes to play on the right and cut in on his left foot, and he can play off the main striker."
