Motherwell FC - A Thread For All Seasons

Out of interest, are the press aware that our pitch is in fairly decent nick or are they still stuck in a time warp where we had games called off because the pitch doubled as a farmer's field?

Normally photos like that have the desired effect and have me gagging to be at Fir Park - but the fact that we'll be nowhere near the old place for months just brings on the weltschmerz.

Pitch looks fucking great mind you.

They've been pretty complimentary in recent years, I would say.

Definitely find it intriguing that Donnelly seems to have played at centre back for the last two games. Obviously Gallagher and Devine are still nursing injuries but I’d have thought Maguire would’ve been the pick at the back with Donnelly competing for a spot in midfield. Cornelius at right back also seems to be a thing

Aye, Cornelius had been filling in at right back for the Reserves last season - fair enough if it's just to get him minutes on the park as everything you were hearing from Mo Ross suggested he was the new Allan Campbell.

Interesting to see Max Johnston being involved as he's still 16 (according to Transfermarkt) and only seemed to break into the Reserves shortly before the shutdown.

No Semple there either and going by those team lines Carson played both halves rather than him and Fox getting a 45 each.

That certainly fits, if that's the case. I seem to remember Campbell doing some shifts at rightback for the under-20s in his development as well.
