He was a cracking player for us and contributed greatly to a successful team. It is clearly a very sad time for his family and friends.

Will go down in our history as part of the double winning team under magic, where his set peices,and contributions were top drawer. RIP chris mitchell.

Going by Iain Russells tweet he seems to have been suffering from depression.

Absolutely horrendous news on so many levels.

So sad to hear. Been through a similar death if this is the case. Thoughts to his family.

Seen him a few times playing for Queens. RIP.

Very sad news. Never seen anyone cross a ball as good as him made many goals when we won the Cup and the league. Was unlucky with injury. R.I.P Mitch
