Weekend in Dundee

Recommended Posts

I like Don Michelle a lot more than Bellini, better atmosphere I think. Ciao Sorrento probably my second favourite.

Rancho Pancho is fantastic if you like Mexican food, good cocktails as well.

Shame that Tahini moved out of town as I really liked that.

Collinsons in the Ferry for fine dining is also really nice but expensive.

Really depends what you're after, there's some great places to eat in Dundee at the moment.

Has Tahini moved? That's a real shame as it was sensational.

Jack and Jones (I think it's called) is very under-rated also

Rishis for a good South Indian fish curry and a massive dosa (not "of the skits" before anyone starts).

This.

It's not Malabar but it's really good.

Tahini was still open on Friday night when I passed.

Tapas in the Ferry is indeed the fucking nuts. I phoned up to get a Friday night table on the Wednesday and got one so highly doubt it's booked out for months.

Goa in the Ferry is a great Indian

If you want Sol Y Sambra (or whatever its name is) its normally booked out for months if you want it from say 6pm - 9pm on a weekend, but possibly available for earlier or later. Not to say they wont have a cancellation though, so still worth a phone call.

Ive been to Rishis twice. First time was fantastic, second was bang average. Maybe they were having an off night, but got the impression they had just started buying in cheaper food.

I was at Rishis last night for a wetting of a baby's head.

Madras Dosa then a fish chettinadu curry at your recommendation.

Absolutely fucking tremendous.

Thank you

Tahini is still there. I think they've just opened another place too. Can be tricky getting a table in there at the weekend too though. Rishis is a very good curry, no matter where you're from our how good you think you've had before.

Lots of Asian families eating in Rishis last night.

Always a good sign IMO

Jack and Jones is great, same chefs as rancho pancho I believe.

You'll not get sol y sambra at such short notice tbh.

It is fucking superb though

You might if its not at the weekend. We've booked short notice a few times during the week.
