Cowden316
Good news and sensible decision by the board. Best wishes to David in his new role as well. Let's get fully behind the club and look forward to the new manager appointment.
NELLY
You dont want to rush appointments but ideally need a new man in within 2 weeks. A lot of players out there and a lot of our players out of contract. Surely new manager will need to be advised on players we have whether they are worth a new deal etc.. Dont want to be mustering a squad together last minute and then we start the season poorly.
Kierkegaard
Good decision. If CN had been kept on, it would have divided the club. The manager's position could attract surprising interest - not necessarily expensive - because it offers an ambitious player/manager an opportunity to make a name for himself by winning promotion in his first season. Isnt that what Nish was supposed to be??... Id go with someone who has been a manager already. My money is on Burchill IF he wants to apply etc.

PELE
Good luck to Dave in the new role. Why do people assume some potential managers will be out of our budget range? There are only a few jobs going, so surely we can make an affordable offer then see if they are interested. If they knock it back, they are missing a good opportunity. What else are some of them going to do? It's not like clubs are queuing up to offer jobs.

Definitely true for some candidates. Also like to wish Dave all the best in new role, 1 of the most important people at the club.
Cats Pyjamas
Good news. When will we start getting news about signings and renewed contracts? Will they wait until a new manager is in place or will the Board be making decisions until the new manager is in place?
