Unlucky Thistle, not much of a consolation but I thought you were the better side over the two legs. Doolan looks a good manager who can build on what you have done this season. Everybody and their Aunty piles into our thread to abuse us regularly so I know how it feels to be on the end of it.

Not disappointed to see Thistle stay down as it's a much better away day than County but you're right on VAR. It's a blight on football and it's ruining the game.

Were they really though? County scored as many goals in 20 mins today as Thistle managed in the previous 160.

We’ll just have to make sure we go up automatically next season, to avoid this kind of nonsense.  I have faith in Doolan.  If he’d been in charge from the start, we’d have been up automatically this time.

VAR turned the game as County certainly  didn't look capable of scoring. Can't really complain though as you've had a lot of big referee calls go your way recently and today evens it up

This is true.  The law is an ass, but the decision was consistent with what’s been given all year with VAR.   I also think the Watson decision was rightly overturned.

The Watson tackle is where it absolutely should be a red card but the actual law says yellow as its not endangering an opponent.

Sean Welsh got sent off for very similar for ICT vs us this season but obviously no VAR to overturn it, but it got downgraded to yellow after the game for same reason.

That could have been the difference but as soon as county's first goal went in you could see what was in the post. When Bannigan missed the sitter you could have dispensed with the penalties.

while i did say earlier that this was a bottle job..i'd have prefered Thistle to come up as 2 promoted teams would have given my team a slightly better chance at avoiding a one season jolly.

In the end, it doesn’t matter who the better team was, all that will be remembered is, Thistle blew a three goal lead and County retained their league status

well. that was shite. struggling to think of a worse game in the last 20 years.

Hopefully Doolan is good at the recruitment side of things, but im fairly sure we're in for much of the same next season.

Bannigan had an absolute nightmare. Culpable at one of the County goals, skies a sitter, fucks his penalty against the post.

editing: felt a bit bad singling banzo out as he's not fully fit, but... fnhhgfhgfhgf. It's a tough one to take.
