The Partick Thistle thread

Recommended Posts

Any thoughts on what’s happened today, @Vinnyjag?

Or are you just going to sit back, say nothing, and dish out red dots to anyone who dares to criticise your dear leader? Enablers like you are just as culpable for this mess as the charlatans involved.

ETA - nah, no thoughts as usual. What a gutless, pathetic loser.

“Having discharged our obligation to deliver Colin Weir’s final wishes, 3BC will now step away. It is over to you and the Club to build a meaningful relationship that gives fans the strong voice and influence at the heart of Thistle they want."

The sole director of 3BC invites the unelected and unrepresentative PTFC Trust to build a meaningful relationship with the Club, and steps away to become (checks notes...) the chairman of the Club.  Now do you get it?

Apologies if I am reading this wrong but if Colin Weir's wishes for fan ownership and fans keeping the shares was to put them into the trust along side the first tranche this would have been made clear a long time ago?

Yes it could, but 3BC say they are the only people that know EXACTLY what Mr Weir wanted done with the shares, and they've not exactly been forthcoming with this information.

Maybe it was expressed orally, and they're trying their best to adhere to his wishes...? 🤔

If that was the case why did we have the charade of knocking back TJF and no resurrection of the zombie PTFC Trust before now?

A very good point and one that's been overlooked by some.  If that's what had been suggested while Colin was still alive then I doubt there would have been much dissent, although there would have been misgivings.

Concerns at a Trust with Club Board appointees controlling the Club was the reason stated back in 2019 as to why this could not happen, and yet here we are.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the board have waited until our best league position in three years to announce this as well.

That is actually one of the most frustrating things about this whole charade.

They know fine well that nobody wants to rock a successful boat.

Top of the table, and during an international week where we’re not due to play another league game for 2 weeks. Convenient.

However, there is still a game on Friday. TJF can still get their act together and their members to Falkirk to make their feelings known. It doesn’t just need to be at Firhill.
Where are the TJF leadership, by the way. They have known this announcement was coming this week - but so far again nothing.

That took 5 minutes, again what have you done except for being snide on here?
