oneteaminglasgow
That's a sickener for Welsh. Spends the best part of 2 seasons out, then a season of being absolute shite before finally looking like he might be good enough for this level and picking a bit of form and he's fucked again. Leaves us a bit of a predicament for centre midfield. Don't think the Barton/Osman pairing really works or brings out the best in either of them, but with Bannigan, Fraser and Welsh out now, there's not much choice. Don't know anything about any of the young players, I see that McCarthy has been on the bench recently, could be a chance for him to get some games in over the next wee while.
Mulder & Ryan Scully
What is actually wrong with Gary Fraser still? Starting to think it's not a physical problem he has.Would be surprised if he ever plays for us again.
Fuctifano
I only heard third hand but I believe it's a recurring injury with a crack in his kneecap which isn't healing, which would mean that he's unlikely to play for anyone, never mind us, again if true.
Snakebite
Someone on we are thistle posted a summary of the meeting yesterday. Quote 1. Presentation from Maxi on the club structure for admin and footballing sides.2. Stadium - Planning application in for a disabled viewing platform in the JHS to allow a better view and ensure compliance with UEFA licence etc. The Bing - planning permission granted but no interested parties to put money into a development. Looking at approx 1000 seat stand in addition to the main development. PROPCO are still a thing.3. Strict liability - I will probably put up a separate post about this. It is a complex issue and there was no real consensus reached about how we should respond as a club. David Beattie is definitely against legislation dealing with this and Maxi didn't give a strong position but again felt that SPFL self-regulation would work best. A survey should be on the official site very soon to try and better guage fan feeling on this.4. Kits - Maxi acknowledged that the new designs were not particularly well received. Joma rather than TTL restrict our joices to their templates and the club only see the templates in other colours. It would be better to have some mock ups as the designs don't necessarily give a great impression of the finished article.5. Ticket Pricing - There was at least one person who was unhappy about us letting in kids in the away support for less than they charge our kids. Maxi pointed out that for most matches, this would make a very small financial difference to the club and they don't want to get into tat for tat with the other clubs. It was also raised by one person that season tickets were too cheap, but it is fair to say no-one else felt this way. Attendance figures over the last 3 seaons have not changed hugely, but we are down a bit from 14/15. Would say that info goes from interesting to utter shite. Surprised no one mentioned a 16 team league. Anyway I'm pretty stunned given all the boom with student housing in Glasgow recently and where the stadium is between the city centre and the west end that there is no interested parties in that area. Hopefully something gets sorted, the bing and the neglected old area around it has been sucking the life out of the ground for 10 years now.
Rednyella
On another note...It's nice to see James Craigen doing well in championship with Falkirk after a tough start. Given Welsh's injury we could use him! [emoji6] Always a grafter. That goal v Morton [emoji7] [emoji122]????
ALJAGS76
Dundee,Inverness, killie and Hamilton have all taken points from the old firm in the last year or so. Surely at some point it's got to happen for us without us bottling it.sheeesh.
mikedafc
Kris Doolan is on 98 goals now. Any suggestions for 100th goal celebration. He is on Soccer FM podcast being recorded later. Armand 2
Just the standard Dools celebration will do. As well as it being his 100th goal, I believe it will make him the top scorer of league goals in our history. A truly remarkable feat that he's on the verge of achieving. Without a shadow of doubt, a modern day Thistle legend.
