Quote

The Club has today received the following update from Three Black Cats in relation to fan ownership, which it has been asked to share with fans:

With the season over and the land /main stand returned to Thistle ownership, the focus returns to the transfer to fan ownership. Fan ownership of Thistle has been and remains a priority for Three Black Cats (3BC) despite suggestions to the contrary.

By way of an update, since 9th April we have had one note of interest but nothing more. As retaining the shares is not a long-term option for 3BC, we look forward to hearing substantive proposals from any interested fan representative parties without any further delay.

The intention behind fan ownership was to protect the Club’s future, ensuring its stability and security by gifting the majority shareholding to fans to stop it being sold to a third party. It’s meant to be a positive development not as it has been used by some recently, a potential source of division.

That’s why 3BC is determined to press on with the transfer of shares as a matter of urgency. It would be unfair to have this matter hanging over the Club and fans next season, when football must be the priority.

Can see where this is going with the shares handed over the the astroturf fan group that are already on the board and represent absolutely no one.

Aye, that feels exactly where this is going. Means she can say she's given shares to the fans, when really it's just her and her simp pals retaining control anyway.

I honestly can’t put into words how much I despise Jacqui Low.

Agreed. Low does not have the honesty or integrity to put her own name to that statement. Due diligence seems to be the potential source of division. We now await the club's (i.e. Low's) response to 3BC's (Low's) statement. You couldn't make it up!

The 3BC statement sounds like Low is now desperate to offload the shares. Has 3BC run out of money? Does the club have serious financial problems that the new owner/controller will have to address? Any new owner of the shares will need to undertake due diligence so that source of division will remain until Low backs down.

It's very clear that Low will not transfer 3BC's shares to The Jags Foundation. TJF's board needs to contact Gerry Britton urgently and ask If he supports Low's actions. It would very also be useful to know the views of the management team and senior players, especially Bannigan and Graham.

Is there anything that the SPFL or SFA can do to help TJF fulfil Colin Weir's wish? This farce cannot be allowed to continue.

That assumes that the PTFC Trust will not wish to undertake due diligence!

I honestly can’t see them asking coaches or players- they will probably be told they have to state “no comment “ regardless of their opinion

That’s unlikely to happen. It’s also unlikely that the players and coaches would give anyone their proper opinion on this - understandably.

It is outrageous that 3BC/Low has not fulfilled its promise to transfer its PTFC shares to The Jags Foundation. You sound like Javeajag, on WAT.  We need answers to the following questions asap.

Why did 3BC/Low/PTFC refuse allow TJF and its advisers to undertake due diligence before the planned share transfer?

Why did the above parties not share financial information with TJF as claimed by the latter's board?

Why did was the Motherwell fan ownership model (IIRC originally the one favoured by Colin Weir and proposed by TJF) apparently rejected by 3BC/Low?

What sort of fan ownership model, is now acceptable to 3BC/Low? [The PTFC Trust is not acceptable to me.]

What information is 3BC/Low/PTFC willing to provide to the organisation that will receive the shares?

What is the planned timescale for the deal?

Nothing can happen until 3BC/Low/PTFC gives clear answers.

I agree with everything you say.  My Jackie Chiles gif may in hindsight have looked sarcastic, but I do in fact find Jacqui's recent statements to be outrageous, egregious and preposterous!

McCall in the Evening Times saying he hopes to have Mayo back on loan and it's up to him now. Also looking at a midfielder who gets forward plus needing a right back and competition for Sneddon.
