He was so out of his depth with us in the top flight that it was no guarantee he’d be a good player at this level either. The year banging them in against diddies at League One probably helped his career a lot. He was absolutely atrocious with us as well, and had some really poor spells out on loan at Ayr and Dumbarton. Not surprised to see O’Ware taking most of the criticism. No fan deserves to see their team ‘perform’ like that. Doesn’t help that it was your captain who threw the game away after 4 minutes. Regarding the posts about Nisbet, there’s absolutely no guarantee you’d get this version of him, if you’d kept him. In fact, I’d say it’s unlikely. He’s gone on record himself, saying that getting released, then turned down by numerous championship clubs (including us) last summer, was the reality check he needed. He was undoubtedly excellent in league one last season. He showed some glimpses with us early on this season, without really scoring many in the league. But he seems to be hitting form now.
