Maybe this is a daft question, but why couldn’t we have a human operate the camera?

I am guessing they weren’t allowed under COVID restrictions, maybe too many staff members already? I know from other team’s updates like Albion Rovers that they can’t even give live updates because social media staff weren’t allowed in the game, so I presume this falls under the same remit.

So our actual highlights package:

(a) is night and fucking day to watch in terms of the camera

(b) actually makes that look like a very promising performance, especially with the well worked third goal.

Totally agree. Jagzone highlights are actually very good. They need to make that the live stream instead of that fukking robot nonsense!

Agreed.
I couldn’t really tell how well we played despite watching the stream, simply because of the quality, but watched the highlights and some of the replay on JagZone and we actually looked fairly good for the most part. The third goal was excellent.

We did look good. Especially against the giants of BSC Glasgow.

Out of interest, is there any footage from the live stream available to watch?

Stream was on Youtube and Thistle pulled it right after full time presumably as it violated the Geneva Convention if prisoners of war were made to watch it.

Two of the more out there moments were when we took a corner and the camera immediately panned 90 yards to Jamie Sneddon standing at the edge of the other box and when it started running back and forth for a few seconds so players were moving in reverse. Not sure if other clubs having the same issue with it. Would be very reluctant to shell out on that standard of video for a competitive game in a couple of weeks.

As said, from the human-filmed highlights that was a decent performance first up albeit standard of opposition has to be factored in. Interesting to hear McCall say he wants to play a back 4 when the profile of the squad with loads of central players and very few wide made it look like 3-5-2 has been the plan.

Rudden being injured again is a bit worrying.

Can only play what’s in front of you. Yes it was a weak opposition, but I’d rather have won than lost.

Watched  the game from the canal bank when I was leaving noticed some well Kent thistle supporters leaving the ground  they may be on the working group but under protocol they shouldn’t be there .breaking the rules not a good look

Indeed. So, factoring that in, should we have hammered them?

We beat them very comfortably, I don’t remember Sneddon having a save to make. I wouldn’t read into friendlies too much but I don’t see anything worth complaining about regarding our performance.

Beat them pretty comfortably in our first match against an other team after 6 months out, that’ll do me. Need to do it when it matters now, of course.

Good job you ignored the club's advise to stay away from Firhill. Otherwise we wouldn't know about these 'rule breakers'.
