Archie was (correctly) sacked but later than he should have been.

His record in the league with what was widely regarded as a shambles of a squad was 3 wins from the first 6, and 9 points from 8 games.

Tick. Tock.

To be fair you put that in a kind of rose tinted glasses shine - one win was against Hartley managed Falkirk whom many Falkirk fans describe as putting together the worst team in their history.

the game against Morton was against a managerless team whose manager had only left the previous evening.

the win against QOS was good despite calamity bells attempts to try and lose us the game

Weir should buy the lot out and start again . top to bottom needs sorted too many people in it of there own benefits

That's the same Weirs, long time Thistle fans, who were going to build a training ground, then rent it to Thistle?

That will be the same Weir’s that cleared the club’s substantial debt (over £1m) and asked for nothing in return,  while previous directors (lifelong Thistle fans) previously cleared debt but took chunks of the ground to cover it and they still have it to this day!

They got shares in return.

The majority of which they handed to the supporters Trusts. Did the other directors hand over their chunks of the ground to the trusts as well?? Thought not!

Transfer window SLAMS shut on Thursday. Anyone expecting an exciting week of transfer business down at G20? 🤔

We desperately need three players. A central defender, a holding midfielder and a striker but the answer to your question is NOPE!!

We desperately need those players because the players that the manager has signed in those positions are dreadful. Our squad size is basically fine, it’s the utter pish that Caldwell has signed that is the problem.

Our squad size is not fine - technically we had upfront Storey, Doolan, McDonald, Roy and mansell up front- now we have only miller mansell and jones - so we are light - I agree mansell and jones look rubbish but we are still short on strikers. Being pedantic but we technically had 3 goalkeepers but now we have 2 - not that we need a third but thought that would have freed up a wage for elsewhere

We have 3 midfielders out. Harkins, Slater and Wilson. Still think O’Ware is struggling with last years injury, so at this moment in time we need some players in. Hall is a move in the right direction

Compared to other teams, with the exception of the Dundee teams, our squad size is absolutely fine. Having five strikers last year was too many, and a fat lot of good it did us anyway!
