How come Lyons is aloud to return to our midweek youth team yet Barjonas didn’t have to go back to rangers

It'll probably be down to Montrose being part time but we're full time.

Either that or it's at the clubs discretion.

Loanees can play for parent club in reserve fixtures. Barjonas could go back to play in Rangers reserve fixtures, if needed, so long as we don't have a game within a day.

Dools signs for Morton.

Sincerely hope that Gary Caldwell never gets another job ever again.

Does anyone know what team we put out tonight against Queens Park?

Appreciate this is a bit late but since you weren't given an answer the official site has now listed the team as

Thistle Team: Sneddon, Renfrew, Robson, McIntyre, Niang, MacKinnon(Lyon), Gordon(Watson), Barjonas(McDonald), Lyons(Owens), Jones(Galasso), Austin.

Gary Caldwell should burn in hell.

Dools is a legend...but has now been released by 2 clubs in 6 months...all the best to him..hopefully we see him back at firhill in a coaching roll in the coming years..

Maybe the way it was done..was wrong but Caldwell  and kerr didnt think he could cut it at this level...even super ian McCall looks to have doubts now..hopefully he doesnt score a lot between now and end of the season..but im sure there are some jags fans that are hoping he does..

Gary Caldwell also thought that Tommy Robson, Lewis Mansell, Ryan Williamson and Gary Harkins could cut it at this level so probably best not to trust his judgement too much.

If Doolan is worth a punt then why didnt McCall bring him back? He's done and no amount of slushy misty eyed romanticism will change that. We move on.

Probably because he's spent his budget on mutual terminations and his subsequent January recruitment. Had the budget allowed, there's no question that McCall would have brought Doolan back; he said as much when he initially returned and I had heard the deal was done to come back as far back as October.  But I don't actually think McCall realised quite how guff the squad was or quite how much we were paying Kenny Miller (who has now chucked it because no team is daft enough to pay him anywhere near what his doss c**t pal did).

Won't dispute that he's getting on a bit and would've been back as reserve but he's always been a 'streaky' player and it's difficult to get that if you're in one week and out the next.

Begs the questions. How much are we paying our new boys after getting rid of some big earners and how much did we lay out to players that we cut short their contracts?
