Bannigan only played a handful of games in 2 years prior to Caldwell due to injury so no idea how he can be said to be fine.  Even then guy consistently has received stupid yellow and red cards prior to Caldwell showing up which again meant he was not always fine

Been a liability this season and if he got himself deliberately sent off then that’s unforgivable

Who said he got himself deliberately sent off? You’ve plucked that from nowhere.

I read McCall mentioning he wanted to sign Zanatta "but couldn't afford him." An interesting comment and fairly concerning we appear to have had the budget to mount a reasonable challenge this season... But are bottom of the table.

Seeing Doolan play and score for Ayr yesterday was very grim indeed.

Plus sides, Dario Zanatta, his run for our second, was absolutely wonderful. That's about it though.

Tam O’Ware had an article in the programme yesterday and said his hobby was playing golf with Banzo and Slates (his words before anyone jumps down my throat) and that they were looking for another player as Spitts (his words) was the other regular golfer. If the rumours are true looks like Slater will be looking for 3 new players!!

He was solid before injury last season and was fine in the League Cup games this season.

Bannigan deserved his new deal and although he’s been poor this season is still our best CM.

Very much doubt he got sent off on purpose. It was just a rash tackle which he is prone to.

Didn’t think banzo was that great in league cup games- most memorable thing was the own goal.  Still too many times shocking with some passes going straight to opposition. Injury sadly but not surprisingly regressed him IMO

Do Ayr not have one of the largest squads in the division? Might be after the rangers lad they signed this week their budget was used up

Do you agree with releasing him?

The Penrice one would be a surprise, even if Taylor does leave Killie for Celtic- from what I've read the deal would involve Calvin Miller going the other way, Killie have also have just signed some American/ Finnish boy who is a LB and they also have Waters on loan at St Mirren

The other two seem plausible enough in terms of destination, especially if (and no reason to doubt it) @GrahamJags quote  from Caldwell today about a couple of players coming in tomorrow is true. Thought we might be in for that Dan Armstrong who's just been released by County but we'd surely need a centre midfielder to replace Bannigan.
