Fuctifano Posted August 2, 2019 Share Posted August 2, 2019 Storey was credited with 2 league goals last season, one of which didn't cross the line and the other might well have been an o.g. He scored 2 league goals the season before, both in October so he went over a year without a league goal. We supposedly paid £40k for him. He played up front far more than people think, and even if he didn't his goal return for a winger is still pish. He actually struggles to kick the ball cleanly which is something of a hindrance for a pro footballer. Even more damning that his paltry goal return, Storey only managed a single assist in over 60 games - he had the pace and strength to get into great positions and an uncanny ability to fail to find a team-mate with a pass or cross. I don't think that the decline in Doolan's scoring was entirely unconnected with Storey's inclusion in the side.
