The Partick Thistle thread

Cammy Smith and Graham are ones I’ve also heard, id be very happy with Smith. I think he’s been mentioned here before but Mitch Clark from Leicester is an option if we don’t manage to get Osman back. I think we’re also looking to get in the 2 PCA players in this month.

If he plays for QPR in the FA cup and comes back to us, can he play vs Celtic ?

😂

So many things wrong with one post! You know the FA Cup and the Scottish Cup are NOT the same thing, right? And if they were the same thing he wouldn't be able to play for QPR In the the FA CUp since he already played for you against Penicuik.

Doubt Graham will be going anywhere as Ross Stewart is out for a lengthy period for County. No sign of Kakay in the QPR squad for today’s cup tie!

If I had known the answer - I wouldn’t have asked the question. There are all sorts of rules around the transfer of players - but thanks

Is anyone else a little concerned about the lack of rumours that seem to involve players moving to us? We had the stuff about the Docherty and Brownlie on PCAs which are yet to be confirmed by the club (as far as I am aware), we apparently agreed a fee for Lyons from Montrose but has since come out that a handful of clubs are now after him, there were rumours about Brain Graham and Alan Forrest as well but seemed like bullshit of the highest order. Saw Manpreet tweeting about Cammy Smith as well,  but have no idea if that was wishful thinking or if he's using his social media influencer status to gain insider information.
For a team that drastically needs shuffling and new (better) faces with most of us saying we'd be hoping for 5/6 new players we don't seem to setting the transfer window alight splashing the Weir cash. Even if the pre-existing rumours were true, we wouldn't get either of the PCAs until the summer, and the deal for Lyons reportedly involved him staying at Montrose for the season, meaning that they wouldn't fill the holes we have now. I know we are a whopping FOUR days in to the window, but I was hoping for more.
Very excited to be made to look very stupid by this time next week where we've signed Paul Pogba, a time travelling Ronaldinho from 2005, both Liam Lindsay and Jack Hendry after we discover a  hidden buy-back clause we sold them with, Ferenc Puskás' Ghost and Kris Doolan.

There has nothing agreed with montrose

Can I just ask how an Airdrie fan would know about the exact discussions between Partick Thistle and Montrose over a player?

not meaning to be cheeky I’m just curious

I'm not itk but if the suggested deal had been agreed there's no reason it wouldn't have been announced already.

I'm not that fussed about Kakay, yeah he's better than Williamson as a direct comparison, but I'd rather have either a right back who can actually defend or a proper winger.

Totally agree but we've yet to see what a fit Mitch Austin can do for us.

The big question is how the sad loss of Colin Weir will affect the club's finances over the next few months.

Can we afford to pay off the duds that McCall doesn't want and bring in better replacements? We may have to be patient.

So, you're worried that a guy who had tens of millions in the bank, who had been in bad health and been wheelchair bound for some time hadn't made provision for the future despite having a team of lawyers on call.

Seriously?

Remember he was pissed off and withdrew his funding before coming back to buy the club. Who knows what arrangements he made regards his money. Even if he has made provision for PTFC, maybe his family will contest it.
