Any expectation of a chairman caring about the average fan of a club which averages 2,500 a week is delusional, unless it’s a fan-owned model. The fuds on Twitter who think that them tweeting about cancelling their Jagzone subscription, and not going to the Stranraer game (where tickets are a tenner) are ridiculous as well, especially when only about 8 people actually pay for Jagzone. Gary Caldwell with his power point presentations and working out the costing of his transfer targets means that the board have less to do and it suits them perfectly. Caldwell won’t be sacked before the end of the season at the earliest. The treatment over Erskine has been shocking. Had he been off the boil for the entirety of this season, it would have understandable if the club had reached a mutual agreement that he wasn’t good enough. The fact that in the games he did start, he was one of our better players, and that he’s ended up at a team pushing for top six in the division above us while we sit bottom is farcical. A huge percentage of the ire on here directed at Archie was that he wouldn't play Fitzpatrick. Caldwell doesn't seem to fancy playing him either, which is astounding. Re: Fitzpatrick, he's looked fine at this level - not brilliant, fine - which is encouraging as he's 17 but given his age there's probably more of a chance he'll not make it than he does. If we structure the deal with a decent sell on % and maybe a loan back then I'd be inclined to take it. From Norwich, obvs. The other mob is cash up front.
