So many said this wouldn't happen . Great work by the management team to pull it off.  Quite possibly the championship signing of the season.

Yip a lot of doubters from other clubs but not getting carried away. We desperately need him to do the business on the pitch and its a long time since he played competitive football

Would anyone know how long temporary is?

6 weeks round Firhill way.

How the freaking deekles can we not be one of the better teams in the division?  We have all sorts of decent options middle to front and should be setting up 1-3-6 from here on in.

Great news.  Given that we don't really have a functioning defence, and forgot to sign a right back. from now on we should be aiming to be a Scottish Championship version of Ardiles' Spurs - score one more than the opposition, 6-5 win kinda thing.  I'm sure AA will go for that.

Given that Gordon and McCarthy are out and Storer keeps going AWOL, it seems to me that the team is only light in terms of defence and midfield.

Which now begs the question why not set up the team really aggressively and just try and score lots of goals. Worth remembering the system with which we have become so familiar (4-2-3-1) really functioned something far more similar to a 4-3-3 in our First Division year.

If we were to line-up:

Bell

Elliott Keown McGinty Penrice

Bannigan Erskine Slater

Coulibaly Doolan Mutombo

With the option of Storey, Quitongo, Fitzpatrick, Spittal and McCarthy (once fit again) to fit into the attacking positions if a game needs changed up. Hard to believe we would have the excuse of a “lack of service” to the front line if we lined up like that.

Fair play for this, tbf, it'll be interesting to read the full story behind the process if it ever comes out, you'd expect Al Ahly to make a statement at some point in response.

Be a fair few clubs around the country regretting their choices about now.

Other diddy clubs don't have the UK's top lawyer on the case-
