GordieBoy80
Shire have been pretty pish so far and Edinburgh City should be a few up. The City penalty was dubious. The defender slipped and his arm landed on the ball as it was heading out the box so he was very unlucky. Nothing dubious about it IMO. More or less picked the ball up after he fell. GordieBoy80
Missed the Mbu red card. Some bird decided right at that very moment to walk along row.
atfccfc
I'm at this and the red card for Mbu is one of the worst decisions I have ever seen. It was barely a foul!
matty0310
Mbu red card wasn't even close to a foul Hahahaha pleasing, missed the Donaldson red but it probably was a red cos the boys a riot. Overall decent result going into the home leg. Mon eh shire
rhliston
Finished 1-1 at Meadowbank, Shire appear to have the advantage going into the 2nd leg at home next Saturday or can City pull the rabbit out of the hat and surprise them.

Overall decent result going into the home leg. Mon eh shire a yellow card would have been enough. He fouled the city player. And the city players reaction to the foul got him the straight red IMO. two evenly matched teams. Draw right on the day.
scillybirder
Both sending offs were for players lashing out. City lad have the guy a slap. Rather stupid infront of ref.

beaver1
City should have taken a lead into the 2nd half but East Stirling scored with their only shot at goal after some calamitous defending. 2nd half East Stirling had more possession but never looked like scoring. No idea what happened with the Mbu red but it was right in front of the ref. No surprise with the East Stirling red. He was an accident waiting to happen. City will miss Mbu more than east Stirling will miss the left back. This could go either way.

And the city players reaction to the foul got him the straight red IMO. two evenly matched teams. Draw right on the day. I went along to this and that red card was utterly perplexing. Big guy was cruising through the game too. Could go either way still I reckon cause the two sides look evenly matched. Fair play to a few Hibbes and even a few Raith turning up to boost the numbers. San Starko Rover
Would like to see Edinburgh City come up, nothing against the Shire and would genuinely feel sorry for their fans if they go down but if we want a pyramid to work it needs to happen. Hopefully we will then end up with bottom down every year and 2nd bottom in the play offs. Get the pyramid working and then hopefully in the future we will end up with every team in Scotland in it. tikataka
Cracking game today with a bit of everything. City were good in the first half, should have been 2 or 3 up when they conceded a poor goal. Decent finish by the Shire winger though. Second half was more even but shire didn't create any chances with the wind at their back. Red card for Mbu was odd, it seemed that no one saw it other than the ref! Red card for Donaldson looked harsh, probably more to do with ref evening it up. Overall I would say that east Stirling will fancy their chances at home but city will be dangerous if they can match their first half performance. Perfectly balanced for a second leg finale
The Blue Brasilion
Now that Cowden have been relegated, gonna go along to this, hopefully a good turn out and a decent match.
pipedreamer
The penalty decision was scandalous, shire player turning to leave the box with the ball and slipped, his arm landing on the ball. Not intentional and certainly not a penalty, don't think Gavin Duncan done himself any favours with that performance. Shire were dire in the first half with city creating the better chances, second half it was almost all shire without them capitalising on their dominance. The pitch was terrible for football with the ball bobbling every time a player tried to take a touch or make a pass. I'd imagine the second leg will be different as at least the teams will be able to attempt to play some football with the ball on the deck.
