He was class for us and you've got to think if it wasn't for him we would've finished bottom. 2nd highest goal scorer in the league. Jack Burton Posted July 19, 2017 Share Posted July 19, 2017 Am guessing that this is really shite wind up but MacDonald was a great player for us last season. He is the best finisher we had at the club for a good number of years. To score 17 goals in such a shite team was a great achievement. MacDonald did start to play less frequently from around March time when Goodwillie arrived and MacDonald & McGovern took temporary charge. He did start to struggle around then with the number of midweek games we had. Obviously he is a year old but he never relied on pace with us. Instead it was clever, intelligent runs and creating a wee bit of space for himself to get a shot away.
