Good signing for Alloa. I thought a Championship side would have taken him on. Glad they´ve not mind you, so we don´t need to face him.

Very happy about this and your man has only good things to say about his time with you guys

“I know Jack well having played with him at both St Mirren and Hamilton"

He'd have had a job playing with him at St Mirren seeing as he arrived six months after Jack Ross left.

Up to 920 now. Can't see it not happening, TBH. Nice positive news around our club for a change.

This says it all really

Looks as if SMISA are going to get there, keeps the club in local hands, well done, great effort, last push, delighted #COYS

What's happening with Sutton, still murmurs of him coming to Ayr, has he not been confirmed with you yet?

Not confirmed. Div is adamant that it's happening. A user on B&WA mentioned bumping into him in Glasgow and asked about the move, Sutton supposedly said it's dependant on what St Johnstone do. Sounds like he's still trying to negotiate his pay-off.

Despite not being at the 1000 mark yet (albeit very close), the deal is pretty much confirmed!

1021 now confirmed. What a fantastic push in the last few days to get this over the line and with 3 days to spare and the rate of sign ups, there's no reason it can't get comfortably over 1,100.

Gonna be some ride, Buds! :D

There has been a campaign by SMISA to buy the club in a similar style to the Foundation of Hearts with a former director in Gordon Scott assuming the Anne Budge role in taking the position as chairman until the shares are sold off allowing the club to be fully controlled by its supporters in a decade or so.

It needed 1000 people as a very conservative estimate (to account for drop outs etc in a worst case scenario) pledging £12 a month for that period to be pushed through to the stage where the club will be handed over.

It passed the 1,000 mark tonight with over 3 days to spare and as such the club will now finally be sold after 7 long years up for sale.

A massive day for the club and the support and quite unusual in this country that it is going to be done out of want rather than necessity or to ensure a clubs survival. It now ensures that the club can't and won't fall into the hands of an absolute chancer at the helm. We have St Mirren supporters who will hand over to another St Mirren supporter who will, in turn, pass it over to hopefully it's final owners, the supporters as a whole.
