Rab B Nesbit
From the WW Facebook page ... Whitehill Welfare FC ... Managerial Appointment We are delighted tonight to announce that Steven Hislop has been appointed manager of Whitehill Welfare. Steven brings a wealth of experience from his playing days both in Scotland where his former clubs include Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Raith Rovers and Livingston and in England with Gillingham. Steve also played junior football with Bo'ness United and Bonnyrigg Rose before joining Arbroath last Summer as Assistant manager. He will be joined at Whitehill by former St Johnstone, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Queen of the South player David Bingham who will be his Assistant Manager. Everyone at Whitehill Welfare would like to welcome Steve and David to the club. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to apply for the vacant managers position for which there was a huge response. Finally our sincere thanks goes to Ian Flynn who stepped up from his role as U20s Manager to take the first team for our last 4 games. Ian has done a great job of lifting the players and his return of 7 points from 4 difficult fixtures was very impressive.

surely not!
Says who ffs give the boy a chance.... Think paleface is referring to the fact that whitehill have some right good young players that will no doubt be attracting the attention of other clubs. If he wants to use these guys and build like he says he does ( according to the papers) then he needs to make sure they've signed up for another year. Ball bobbing all over place. Gretna took goal well though young lad in goal maybes could've done better. Will certainly come on for experience. Another sending off for ww today yet not even a bookable offence for either cards in what looked like 3 very young inexperienced officials. Either that or I ken I'm getting old lol. One last thing always enjoy my trips to Gretna but despite defeat and defo no Soor grapes there was something missing today. A lot of the well Kent faces seem to have left. Good luck for what's left this season.
